I can't stop watching! His speed allowed for both axles to experience a relatively equal amount of compression, so the truck flys level. What usually happens is the rear axle experiences less compression, and then kicks up. The result is the truck lands on the nose and then flips, causing significant trauma to occupant(s). Perfect jump, but hugely risky.

I'd call bs if someone told me that truck was still driveable after that. The problem is, i've had too much firsthand experience with these trucks. Me and a friend (tried to) kill a '79 one day. No big air, just a reckless all-day stand-on-the-gas severe punishing. He ended up needing the it a few days later, and was so impressed that it hadn't died, he kept it. It lasted another 20K miles, on top of the 190K it had. After all that, he sold it for $300, exactly what he paid for it years earlier.

I'm not kidding when I say this, but one was put on top of large building before it was demolished with explosives. The truck was pulled out of the rubble by a digger, and they DROVE IT AWAY! They did it on Top Gear. They also set it on fire, left it out during high tide, dropped a trailer on it, hit it with a wrecking ball and it still drove. Go watch it on this site.
