@NancyDrewGuru I had that happen too at first. It took me three tries to get the PS2 to cooperate but it TOTALLY worked. You will know it's going to work when the system prompts you to enter your password.

Thanks! Great video. The hardest part for me was permanently stopping the dvd so that when you went to select setup it was gray, but pressing stop twice fixed that. (For those without a remote, hitting the 'o' button twice should do it.)

Okay, whenever I highlight over "yes" and press X, the system like changes my selection to "no" instead and just comes up with the screen that says the movie will not play. I have tried everything and I can't just select yes! It's very frustrating. Anyone else having that problem?

@galvantic02 this happened to me when i had a guitar hero guitar adaper pluggen in the ps2. the ps2 duitars have the analog goin left all the time so it makes selections go wrong.

@RogerKev After you hit "select", hit "stop". Then hit "select" again and go to "stop". If the "stop" button is blue, hit it again. If it is gray then you can go to the parental control menu.

-once the movie starts, press 'select'.

-click the 'stop' icon.

**click the 'stop' icon again (the icon must be gray even when you have it highlighted)**

-go to 'custom setup

-go to parental control option, then to "level"

-change to desired level (off is at the top).

-click 'x'.

-go back to 'select' menu options, and press 'play'.

-while movie is playing, eject disk and remove dvd.

-turn ps2 off using switch on the back, keep off for five seconds.

DEAR GOD THANK YOU. BTW I had trouble getting the parental option to be something I could select. I had to stop the movie a few times before it worked. Try a couple times... maybe even hit the "next button" to make sure you are actually in the movie? I am not sure why it worked the 4th time and not the others. I did delete my password and try again, which seemed to help.

Holy shit you have no idea how happy I was when I saw this. I don't get why it was so complicated to mess with the settings? not to mention everytime I turned on my PS2 I would have to change the password cause it wouldn't register the new one I put in the last time I had it on.
