There are plenty of accidents, but they are usually small and people just get back on their bikes and limp home.

The real fun is when you need to cross the street... You have to walk into the street and wait till the bikes swarm around you back and front, then you do one step forward at a time, whilst allowing bikes to swerve around you as you walk. Quite a tourist experience!
