Yeah, maybe I'll remove the brakes and seat belts from my car in the name of "minimalism". I hate the way those things unnecessarily clutter up it's looks.
@logik316 wow you really are retarded, and with a name logik what a serious fail. im lapping you eternally in the game of life. Enjoy being perfect my friend you are a internet hero. I suggest you read a book called "Jonathan livingston seagull"
@logik316thats funny because i am pretty well known graffiti artist duh mass check my channel and stop looking for stupid reasons to hate ppl because you are not talented enough to ride a fixie, calling ppl hippie puts you on the same level as cartman from S park. its not the mark of a thinker
@logik316 when i was a kid i did that , havent done it n a really long time, like 10 years+. i tell people be a artist not a vandal, check the omega point video to see the really sick skills
so maybe people see us on cool bikes wearing bright colors and think riding a bike is a fashion statement. Dont we want to get people out of their cars and on a bike? if they only do it to look cool, then we still won.
Fixed gear The art of taking something simple and fun and turning it into something trendy, philosophical, confusing and lame. Bikes are for riding. That's it. They are not little dogs in fucking handbags and they are not for filming yourself on and sticking the video on youtube. Most of the folk riding a track bike these days are fucking window shoppers. They see the guy/girl in the Vans catalouge and they think to their soleless and directionless self,
Next to that the fixed gear bike is about bringing it back to the basic, no breaks (some do tho), the chain directly to rear wheel etc. It's possible to interpret that as minimalistic.
This is a personal item we made about the taste of an individual. Thats the person you see in the item, if you understand what he is telling you, you would understand where the title comes from. Building your own fixie has a personal touch to is. This guy want's his bike to be as minimalistic as possible, its a matter of taste, and thats what this item is all about. The personal taste in building your fixie.
Art of minimalism? Then what's with the fender and toe clips? Your handle bar is still too long. What's with the paint job and spoke cards? You can do without those so therefore it's not minimal. You can reduce the number of spokes as well and use tubular wheels.
In fact what's with the diamond frame, handle bar, extra wheel and chain? The art of minimalism is the unicycle!
So you pull conclusions based on a title? Maybe the title is a bit unfortunate but most fixed gear people love the simplicity of the bike.
That's what this item is all about. Why fixed gear opposed to a normal racebike, ATB or BMX with lots of gears, breaks and other stuff that some fixed riders think is unnecessary.
There are fixed riders who want their bike to look and feel as minimalistic as possible.
So brakes are unnecessary but fenders are? Great priority there.
"There are fixed riders who want their bike to look and feel as minimalistic as possible. " Exactly that's why I asked what's with the fender then? How minimalistic can you get than a unicycle?
There is no misinterpretation because there is nothing to interpret. The video wants to show the art of minimalism but I see otherwise. Hence the failure.
@Diamondbac hey there ive noticed your comments on some other fixed videos and i find it hilarious that you continue to watch them. i think your scared to ride one, but deep down inside you want to. admit it its ok. and stop hating so much, it makes you sound dumb son.
None there are no rules. But don't call it minimalistic when it's obviously not. At least you won't see these death traps and accident inducing devices in Berlin because they are illegal.
If you cannot ride a bike then ANY bike is a death trap indeed. I don't understand why you are whining about a title. Accidents happen everywhere with everything, it's not always with bikes. By the way people use fenders and toe clips for a reason.
That guy's gear ratio was weak!
