  • ty!!!!!!!!!

  • I was learning through tabs for this song and checking my work against you hardest part at about 9:00

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome Marty! Is it possible for you to post the tab you used for this song? Or anyone reading this if you find one really similar to what Marty's been teaching?! Also, when i do that hammer part my notes hardly make any noise, is there a way to fix that or change the way i play a little bit? Im a super beginner learning off your lessons :D

  • @im8yours8

when you do a hammer on try to put tha hammered on finger on tha finberboard a bit harder. it'll make a better sound. but not that loud. for loud hammer ons you juss need practice

  • @im8yours8 I have the same problem hah! on an electric guitar I manage to make hammer on's but on an acoustic my finger just dulls the sound and barely makes any noise lol (unlike Marty...). Did you manage to solve the issue? :P

  • Thank you, Marty!

...would be interested in Stephen Stills' "4 + 20" if you play it.

  • This was so helpful! I can play it! :D thank you!!!

  • You are a great teacher ,you teach in such detail that an idiot like me can understand it,Thank you so much!

  • Anyone else put their capo on a crazy angle just cause Marty did it?

  • Great lesson. Also an eye opener.

I would not have tackled this song because it 'sounded' difficult. It's actually quite easy. It's a great example of not passing over a tune without actually thinking about it. 'Intricate'picking need not be difficult.

Thanks for the lesson and, as importantly the confidence. Need to include you in my will.

  • Oww yea Marty! i have the same ringtone!! =D

    Iphone ;)

  • Thanks, Marty. I would have never figured this out on my own.

  • Marty, you're a brilliant teacher, who resurrected my capo. Real thanks!

    Greetings from Russia:)

  • Could I play this song with a classical guitar?

  • @fuckingpepeandhanah if you are good you should make a fingerstyle, that would be cool to watch :)

  • @fuckingpepeandhanah Yes you can. I use a classical guitar because I find their much easier to play "picking" style songs such as this one on. In fact, you may find it easier!

  • 00:18 thats wot she said :D

  • Hey guys, are there anythings you can use as a sub capo until I get a capo? I cant find them anywhere and I dont like buying things off the internet. :S Im sure ill find one soon, but is theres something i can use until i get one?

  • @TheUpsidedownsmile

Take a small rubberband and fold it underneath the neck of the guitar. Take a BIC round barrel pen, and place that through the rubberband, so that the band pulls it down on the strings. This needs to be tight, so fold the rubberband if it isn't pulling down hard. It also is important on the pen, as that pen flexes well. If you use something else it may not press down hard enough on the E strings.

  • @Arcane5150 :) Thank you for that, I found that a few days ago but it said nothing about the E string thing. Thank you for your help
