Défendre les ambitions des politiciens ? Quelles ambitions ? En 1914 comme en 1939, ce n'était pas une question d'ambition, c'était une question de défense : Dans les deux cas, on a choisi d'éattendre bien mollement, et on s'est fait rapasser.

@MrQuebec on est intoxiqué parce que la france à resisté 20 durant la revolution et l'empire à plusieurs coalitions payés par les anglais qui se gardaient de prendre part au combats. Et quand ils l'ont fait à toulon où en espagne Napoleon les a battu à plate couture, quand à waterloo une fois de plus il a fallu plusieurs pays pour vaincre la france,sans Blucher les anglais étaient out.Peu importe grace à la france les idées républicaines le code civil et tant d'autres choses ont germé partout

@1piazzola It's a banal, pedestrian age in which to be trapped. I think The Fates dealt me a terrible blow in having me enter this world in the twentieth century, not to mention carrying over into the thus-far ghastly twenty-first. In your case, well, at least you get to live in la belle France. Sometimes I think the one place left that might suit me is Paris, my favorite spot on the planet. Someday ere long, I may well move there.
