  • this sounds to awsome

  • tony should have done a song with james hetfield

  • Black Queen Fighters.

  • nice groove!

  • definitely one of the top3 songs from iommi

  • where did you get this album from? Amazon? itunes?

  • theres a grove there it can be heard and felt awesome song !!

  • i NEVER heard of Tony Iommi til a buddy of mine posted this of facebook. Pretty good music, best rock I've heard in a long while.

  • @TigressAK You have never heard of Iommi? *shrugs* well i suppose that's understandable cus his specific name isn't very well known, but if i was to mention Black Sabbath...

He was not just Sabbaths guitarist, but the founder of the band and the only member that lasted the whole way through.

Put simply, he is the father of Metal. XD

    Long live Iommi!

  • Great tune... even though Brian May is also playing on it hehe

  • THANK YOU IOMMI DAVE LOVED PROBOT IOMMI WATING FOR SOME MORE WHO CARES MUSIC. "DON"T stop until your time

  • sex,sin,sex,sex,sin,sin love it

  • this remind anyone else of nin?

  • I'm a Black Sabbath fan who's liked metal for over 20 years and this is the first time I've heard this album. IT'S FUCKING SPOT-ON. Simply brilliant. Iommi, you 100% deserve to be on the pedestal all rock musicians and fans put you on.

  • I copied this cd off my dad who is over 55 good taste in tunes daddy o

  • is dave grohl singing on this too?

  • This song is amazing...If I was a guy..I'd totally have a boner right now. :P

  • @autumn2500 I'd get wet if I was a girl

  • @dimarziotonezone23 hahahaha just got the wet done!!!

  • @autumn2500

You probably are a guy,,, with a boner. Have fun with that!

  • @jeepstir69 hahahaha I'm not a guy..I have a facebook to prove that!

  • Hahahaha definitely!

  • @autumn2500 i totally believe you're a girl......cause i was thinking the exact same thing as you....LOL!! this song does things to me like no other song has :P

  • @jtucker813 hahaha Yeah this song is amazing. And considering that youtube isn't a place to find men trying to be girls in the first place is what makes what that person said most funny along with having proof. Lol smh

  • @autumn2500 So your nips got hard?

  • @jmist480 I wouldn't know. lmao.

  • I live in India. John Tempesta, the drummer on the song "meat" had played it at one of his clinics here. I loved it and came back to here to listen to it. Then i heard the one with Henry Rollins...now this one. It keeps getting better. these songs have something called a hook in them. Iommi - you are God. Fucking awesome.

  • Holy fucknuts that was awesome. I think I could listen to this all day.

  • can`t find this song on itunes at all that sucks

  • @pyschosallad thats why you get the lp lol i coped a copy of my old man nice

  • What an album, the best of the best !!!

  • Most songs I hear, I think "Why redo that boring shit again?" They all sound the same, i.e., LAME. But, this song is distictive, exciting, reaches into your gut and rips it out! Could listen to it every day of my life. Reminiscent of Black Sabbath, a new sound in the universe..............

  • You can put a monkey as lead singer Iommi will make it work.

  • Just a question...Why are people talking about Tony Iommi/Black Sabbath and Motley Crue in the same sentence...Both amazing bands. So honestly, who gives a shit? Listen to the music and stop cryin... lol

  • "Iommi" needs to be on iTunes along w/Dave Grohl's "Probot" one shot release. Can't believe neither have made it to iTunes. WTF Apple???

  • @bucky468 what about spotify??

  • @Highnfly

I dont care. Its all the same to me man.

Plus these are all complete rip off's of Motley Crue stylings anyway so it doesn't really matter.

  • @TheMcCalls1 Motley Crue probably ripped off Tony Iommi. And since Motley Crue blows, why are you even bothering mentioning them?

  • @DoomMetalSludge fuck you! dont you dare talk bad about them!

  • @TheMcCalls1 With all due respect, these are nowhere near the same as any Crue songs...ever.

  • Dave Grohl (Super badass vocalist and drummer, from space.) + Tony Iommi (Badass guitarist from Motley Crüe)

    = Absolute Perfection.

    Nuff Said.

  • @TheMcCalls1 LOL Iommi played in Black Sabbath and Heaven and Hell not motley crue wtf

  • @TheMcCalls1 dude tony iommi plays with black sabbath thats a pretty big fail

  • @TheMcCalls1 lol first of all Iommi played for sabbath secondly, Sabbath came out in 1969, well before Motley Crue, who were part of the worse metal scene ever, hair metal. Bands like Warrant, Poison, and Motley crue are horrible.

  • this is really really good!

  • I do agree that grunge era bands were influenced by Sabbath, SOundgarden above all, even Geezer Butler said it.

  • "Goodbye Lament, Goodbye Faith I swear I won't believe..."

  • I won this cd off the radio when it first came out y'all need ta check it out it's BAD ASS.....

  • So... Where's Tony in this song...? I expected some mind-blowing riff.. some super special solo, but no... Man.. this should be called Dave Grohl (Featuring Tony Iommi) - Goodbye Lament...

  • Such a great album from an awesome legend.

I still can't believe just how underrated it was though, especially considering the amount of pretty mainstream names guesting on it (Dave Grohl, Ian Astbury, Billy Corgan etc).

  • i love this album, totally awesome!!!!!

  • where can i get this album!!!!!!!!!!!!! and is it all this stuff i see on youtube i just shit came and vomited

  • @dupuis420 Try Ebay - that's where I got my copy.

  • This sounds more like Nirvana than Foo Fighters. More of this please, Dave.

  • @HaHaHamHammer

Sounds like Nirvana? What the hell?

Have you even heard of Black Sabbath?

    Do your homework, n00b.

If there's ANY similarities whatsoever to that hideous Seattle dirge it's purely down to Sabbath and Iommi influencing them.

  • @fieryfather A bit of respect towards Seattle, please. Black Sabbath was an amazing group but Seattle-bands resurrected the gloomy, dark metal sounds made popular by Black Sabbath. Without that we would still probably be listening to countless same-sounding glam metal groups. (Nothing wrong with glam metal, some of the groups were amazing but the genre got overbloated after everyone tried to form a group like the others)

  • @GoodGuitarSolos And the same thing happened to the the so called Seattle sound. The very same thing happened, bands try to copy each other and it lasted for a even shorter period than glam metal. And are you seriously saying Seattle bands ressurected the Sabbath sound? Alice in Chains is the only Seattle band that even comes close.

  • @crowley7483 Yes, it eventually happens to every genre after the record companies notice how much money you can make with it, that's why music evolves all the time. Now it is kinda stuck on but I hope that there will soon be some new music trend which would put some new cards into the table.

AIC did really great songs with Sabbath-sound, other band like that was Soundgarden, songs like "Gun" prove this well!

  • @GoodGuitarSolos Soundgarden is a stretch, but yeah, i'll give it to you. There are a lot of bands with the Sabbath influence, some you wouldn't even think of, some that are obvious.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos

So you're basically saying that if it wasn't for Dave Grohl, the world would be awash with nothign but glam rock bands?

    Bullshit.

How the hell do you explain the persistent strength of doom bands, death metal and grindcore, all of which have by and large had bare minimal input from neither Seattle nor Dave Grohl.

How exactly did Seattle bands "resurrect" that sound when bands like Orange Goblin, Electric Wizard and tons of European doom bands were already keeping it alive?

  • @fieryfather You are one ignorant guy, ya know?

These extreme metal-groups did keep it alive, I agree with that, but grunge popularized it again, and if you are to deny that, you are simply wrong. Look at the fucking million-selling albums like Nevermind, Ten, Superunknown, Dirt, Core etc. Grunge didn't last long but when it was on, it was HUGE. I didn't say that they totally resurrected the 'Sabbath-sound' but they popularized it again.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos

Read again what you originally posted, fuckwit.

Where there's shit there's inevitably flies. Does that make the shit anything more than still, well, shit?

    No.

Grunge was nothing more than an accidental miscarriage of music which mercifully went the same way as Cobain.

  • @fieryfather Your name really tells what you are like, fiery bastard who can't even speak without getting pissed off at everything. Shut the fuck up about "read again what you posted fuckwits" and at least speak like a normal human being.

Grunge was what it was to you, but it was one of the best eras of rock music. Everything was simply new after the fall of glam metal, and many classic albums were released. The genre started to get old eventually, but those few years of it were fantastic.

  • @HaHaHamHammer FAIL!

  • does anybody know where I could buy this album? Ive looked online and cant find it. I know this song was only the blair witch 2 soundtrack, but I havent seen that either.

  • lol this freakin 1:06 riff reminds me of red hot chilly peppers

  • this song is the best out of this album I think, but they all kick azz lol

  • Dave Grohl is just amazing at everything he does. Anyone who harps on how he should stick to playing drums can just stick to listening to old Nirvana records.

  • @bbkade foo fighters aint very good.

  • @bbkade nirvana sucks anyway. Grohl's rocked with the best. who the hell can say they've done shit with both Tony Iommi and motherfucking Lemmy. and played the devil in the tenacious d movie.

  • @bbkade fuck people with those beliefs

  • what a brilliant album...i jus txt a mate 2 get me a copy

  • sounds like corrosion of conformity.

  • AMAZING AS ALWAYS!

  • dont no why your thumbed down dude your speaking the truth.. daves an awesome drummer but as you say a marginal vocalist..

  • @libertycaps666 who knows dude. They must be Nirvana ass lickers that think that that band was the Jesus of Rock music. Get over it, Kurt Cobain is dead and his band was short-lived bullshit. I love how these kids on here weren't even fucking around when Nirvana was in their heyday.

  • @libertycaps666 Whatever he is, he did an excellent job with Iommi on this song,

    and thats the fucking truth.

  • Im willing to bet that when these singers got the offer from iommi they shit came and vomited at the same time. Then ran to the studio.

  • you are right

  • @metalheadoj666 Seriously. NO ONE would turn down an offer to sing on an Iommi album. And if they do, then they are not a real musician.

  • @Brown86Town Well Jack White turned down an offer to sing with Slash. He'd probably turn this one down too.

  • @metalheadoj666 who wouldn't? :)

  • @metalheadoj666

I laughed out loud at that.

  • I used to hear this song in jr. high, but then it disappeared from me until tonight. I'm glad I randomly stumbled upon it! :)

  • same 4 me bud (not the jr H)but on the radio when it wuz a fresh cut.

Ozzy called him "one of the most evil men"he had ever met,This coming from the "PRINCE of DARKNESS"

  • Kinda reminds me of Silverchair Frogstomp-era.

  • So fcking awsome!!!

To bad that the album doesn't exist on spotify yet =/

  • he hates you, too. but he just pwnt your ass for making you type his name ;) tool

  • Haha, that's true xD

  • oh, Dave Grohl... how i love you.

  • Sounds like Nine Inch Nails... pretty badass song.

  • BYE THE WAY THANX 4 POSTN

  • dam, i havent heard this song in a grip!! hellya badass, STAND UP RENO

  • Fucking nice tune !

got to get this album ...

The Anselmo track is so awesome

  • I should have mentioned that my post pertains to the Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl) in this case...not Tony Iommi per say...sorry for the confusion.

  • I just stumbled upon this song listening to compilation called "The Missing Pieces". Aparently it is in "The Leftovers" (10 CDs) compilation too. Might want to hunt those down...Regardless, this song kicks total ass and is now one of my favorite songs! Awesome!

  • Did this song ever get radio play? It sounds so familiar...

  • yes it did. In the early two thousands.

  • durring ozzfest 2 years ago

got there late and this was a special request on some local radio station who were actually covering the show too

  • is grohl singing

  • yer,

    cant you tell?

  • Where do u get these colaboration songs from?? Is there a CD out?

  • this is from Tony Iommi's second so

lo album called just "IOMMI".First solo album is Tony Iommi featuring Glenn Hughes called the DEP sessions....third one is called IOMMI/HUGHES "FUSED"...this one is my personal favorite. All great stuff

  • just a bad assed fucking song, cant say anymore than that.

  • Yes , Dave recorded drum tracks for Juliette and the Licks.

  • THE BEST

  • I love Rock N Roll dudes thats all it is rock in fucking Roll

  • This is the the best album I have heard in a long long long fucking time

  • +1 for Dave Grohl's singing. Probably my favourite on the album.

  • This song is all David Grohl. I say that because Tony's guitar playing is very simple. He pretty much does this really good guitar chorus and that's it. David Grohl's singing is the whole energy of the song.

  • oh please simple or tough guitar playing means nothing. I love the 2 chord verse too, it just sounds right for the verse. I mean cmon, isnt smoke on water simple? Isnt smells like teen spirit simple?

  • Totally agree with you. I was just observing how this is one of David's best songs but at the same time it's one of Toni's simplest guitar songs.

  • isnt brian may in this song too

  • *pretender

  • foo fighters pretenders

  • This is Grohls best song he's ever been involved with, outside of Nirvana. Anybody think any other of his songs are better?

  • His work with the Queens of the Stone Age was magnificent, at least as a drummer.

  • That's a good point. His drumming rocks in Queens of the Stone age. Dave Grohls has a drumming style that fits with any rock band. It's a stle that hard hitting but smooth at the same time.

  • he did tiny dancer pretty good

  • I'd say this is better than most of Nirvana's stuff also the first Foo Fighters album is quite good.

  • Nirvana is good. Most people are just sick of them. I agree, the first Foo Fighters album is awesome and they have a good variety in it.

  • na what are you talking man, no way. If you like this style of songs listen to dive by nirvana and imodium. This is a great song, but better than Nirvana? WTF?

  • this is one of his best songs atleast i think

  • not many people know this, but he also does the drumming for Tenacious D

  • You didn't say if Toni or Dave played the drums for Tenacious D but I know you meant Dave Grohl. Dave also played the demon in the Pick of Destiny. And he is also the Demon on Tenacious D's first album.

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty sure most people know that. He also drummed for Queens Of The Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Prodigy and obviously Nirvana.

  • Didn't he also do some drumming for Julliette And The Licks?

  • he also played several other instruments in his own bands. He is a very talented musician

  • GRANDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Great album

  • go....

  • I personally thought that this album was really underrated. So many great songs.

  • awesome song

  • "the best of you" great song though

    dave drums to it too

  • sounds like never say die era shit

    cool

  • I understand that Grohl penned the rhythm guitar riff here, and played it for the mics, along with drums and vocals. Tony only features on this song as lead guitarist, as far as I know. Apparently there's a song on this album featuring Grohl's teenage punk idol Henry Rollins of Black Flag - is it any good?

  • laughing man in the devil mask - yes, great song, one of the best maybe. the best song might be into the night with an even older punk idol, billy idol that is. very bluesy playing, great vocals.

  • Oh, Laughing Man was a great fucking song, but Into the Night was HANDS DOWN my favorite off the album.

Billy Idol: Love him or hate him. The dude's got skills.

  • yes great vocals. though some strange vocals. "and to all the undead souls who walk the night they can suck my dick"

    ...what?

  • impressive vocals

  • One of my favorite songs ever written... by anyone!

  • *drooling*

  • This c.d. is an awesome way to pay tribute to a legend.

  • This inspired Grohl do go and do the Probot thing, paying tribute to a whole host of legends...

  • Grohl actually sounds like Cobain in the chorus.. Goodbye lameennntttt... goodbye lameeennnttt

  • i actualy thought he sounded a helluva lot like pepper keenan from corrosion of conformity at the solo

  • Eurgh... that's not a good thing. Grohl kicks Cobain's butt every time.

  • I agree... but goddamn you, who do you think you are coming on here and expressing your opinion. What do you think this is, America or something...

  • I haven't heard this song since I played it on the radio...THANK YOU!

  • Iommi and Grohl....fucking brilliant Tony...thanks.

  • Thanks for posting. I love this album! I think this is my favorite song from it. So glad that Tony collaborated with cherry-picked talent out there.

  • That is crazy this song has 666 views for Iommi.....hahahaha

  • sounds like helmet...

  • Thank you! I've been looking everywhere for this song!
