I spent 10 years in the military. I had "free" medical care. I have horror stories from my experience. Also, have you ever attempted to use Federal Workers Comp? It is worse than state workers comp, you can't find a doctor that accepts it.

Pages 16-17 of HR 3200 say no new health plans can be offered by private insurance companies. Do you understand? Say you are in the shirt business and the government passes a law against selling shirts. Same thing here. Not only does HR 3200 go against Obamas promise, it is unconstitutional! But Obama supports it!
Obama took six months to find a dog for his kids but he wants to push a ill-considered "reform" measure in six weeks. He is pushing for it to happen before people realize what is in it. I have read some of the 1,000 pages of HR 3200 and it is a horrible bill, completely unconstitutional.

The Obama plan hopes to offer a public option, it's called competition, the thing Republicans claim to support. It's what you have in a truly free market, you have choices, and if the people choose the public option the private Insurance companies will have to lower their prices to compete, or they go out of business. That's called a free market: what part of that do you not understand?

A lot of doctors are fed up with the insurance companies. Doctors don't like the long forms and wait times by the insurance companies. Also, insurance companies are paid 100 million a year in government subsidies, and that has nothing to do with taking care of you.

If you knen anything about economics you would realize that Obama prevented a depression by the actions he took, which were necessary because of the Bush Recession. There are 47 million people withoug insurance. That number was almost that high before the recession. If that's all you care about the poor, no wonder you are a republican.

Virtually all economists acknowledge that the huge spending was needed to stimulate the economy and emerge from the bush recession. The only concern by economists is that the stimulus package was too small. Of course a bigger one would never have passed congress.
As for waste, of course its there. Unfortunately Bush constantly looked the other way when regulations in place were ignored. After all who could it hurt.

The US economy was tanking even worse under many of the Alphabet Soup programs introduced by FDR. Many economists blame out of control spending from turning a bad recession into the full on Depression.

Next is the Universal Appliance Warranty (UAW). My frig is broke and I don't have the money to fixed it, I was just fired to pay for the new healthcare taxes. My neighbors won't store my food in their frig, and it isn't fair that they have one and I don't. Gov't should make them pay for my warranty so I can get it fixed. Of course there will always be those who will attempt to use a good program and be corrupt. That's no reason to do nothing. We are the only industrialized country without national health care. how is that? they still recieved tax cuts - granted the percentages may be lower than a middle class household but the amount would still be several times more than what the middle class was getting...i can earn 40million a year and get a 12.7% cut and thats more than the salary of the average citizen...the govt was spending money it didnt have - and with tax cuts it wouldnt be making more revenue b/c the revenue is taxes --which are being cut, hence, the national deficit.

stats prove little, anyone can have numbers that support their stance - and statisics dont show obese people as "less healthy" the definition of a "healthy lifestyle" and the lifestyle of someone who is considered obese does.. stats only make an attempt to support an assertion. People who believe their position is correct find stats that support it. if it was that open and shut there would be no debate between us or those on the national level but there is, which means its not black and white.
