Well I dont know, in all of my life, I have grown up with Fords. And to be honest, the only problems I've really seen my dad work on were just the oil change, the wheel allignment, etc. I've never encountered one that has ever had "disasters", and yes, my family used them all for daily use...

Hey dumbass the daytona is not a whole other car it is a charger and the the 67 mustang was horrible vs. my uncles 68' Hemi Charger in the 1/4 mile track and the mustang had a 351 in it but i guess it the driver that matters oh and my uncles hemi was alot louder launched off the line alot quicker too he was gone before the mustang even knew it and i've seen alot of stangs blow there engines on the track they cant handle horse power.

Sorry ducstinwaller87,the mustange was made for the female consumer by Lee Iacocca to save ford.The charger owned rustanges.I dont know if you heard of the daytona but Petty was the first to break 200mph,I dont remember a rustange doing that.And the Hemi is the king of engines.

ya originaly the mustang was made as a sedan..not a muscle car..but once it got to around 66 they started putting bigger and bigger engines.and the 351clevland..will beat a 440 charger...cuz of the weight difference..and i know wat a daytona iz and its not a charger its a whole other car in its self..and the old hemi's were good engines now they just suck..

Lol wow you need to learn about cars alittle more.The roadrunner became the superbird,the charger became the daytona,just areodynamics added.The 351 clevland had problems with blocks cracking.The 440sixpack put out way more hp,and the hemi is the king,and still is,I know I have 800hp from mine.

i know enough i know that the mustang and the corvette were the favorite cars..and thats y they were the only cars that lasted all these yrs witout being discontinued..im not saying chargers arent good..i like them...but the 351windsor was the engine wit block problems not the 351clevland..and ya the 440 iz gona put out more hp..its a lot bigger engine..but the 351boss..was a faster car in the 1/4 mile than the 426 or the 440 in the charger..only cuz of weight..the chargers are heavy

The hemi has a better head design,open the hood on a car with a 351 and one with a hemi and more people will want to see the hemi,more people know the word hemi vs 351 boss,its a legend.The 351 is a good engine too but its equal to the 383 or 327,but it dont compare to the hemi.

if you built a 426ci cleveland, it would have still got wasted by a 426 Hemi... Hemi's breathe better, that's why they are more powerful. All an engine is really, is an air pump. The better you get air in and exhuast out (scavenging), the more efficiently they make power. The Charger R/T in Bullitt had a 440 Magnum and the Mustang had a 390 anyways.... a REALLLLY big time mismatch. 390's were really good for attaching to a chain and sitting at the bottom of the lake to keep your boat still.
