Elisabeth's "hot topic of forgiveness" speech was INCREDIBLY phoney and rehearsed. Like her or hate her, Rosie was the only one who didn't put up the facade of "yes, we fought last week but everything's fine again and we're all still best friends." Babs and Elisabeth were the ones who were all "All is Well" here -- only to talk smack later. Elisabeth on Faux News and Babs with her craptastic book "The Casting Couch" or whatever it's called.

They didn't shut down the show for 2 days. This whole thing happened the week prior to Memorial Day 2007. The fight happened on Wednesday (I saw it live), Thursday was preempted on the east coast, Friday was taped (because they always pre-tape Friday shows so they can have a three day weekend), and Monday was pre-taped for Memorial Day.

I don't blame Rosie for leaving. I work with an Elisabeth type who gets cut WAY too much slack too, and I wish I had millions so I could just quit, too! LOL!

I used to watch The View as often as I could, but haven't really watched it since Rosie left... :(

Rosie brought something great to the show. But there's something natural about her being replaced with Whoopi. Whoopi is just the perfect fit. I can't put my finger on what it is about pre and post Rosie. I just look @ them as different eras...as different seasons. They both worked well.

Rosie got too emotional at times, she was better doing her own show. Her views are are extreme so are Elizabeth. The view remains strong with Joy and Barbara the originals. I ,miss Star, Debbie and Lisa. I love merideth, Whoopi is a great additon.
