If not brought up before, this style of machine is one that comes from this guy named Rube Goldberg. The 'Incredible Machine,' if relating to the Japanese videos, was inspired by this, as well as the Honda commercial for the Accord entitled 'Cog.' The idea is to have this machine run in one take with only one human interaction, but nevertheless, your contraption brings back memories of when our school 'Rube Goldberg Team' and I went to the competition. We did not win, but it was fun.Great Video.
