  • @SuperMunin Yes, Iron Horse is correct. I just couldn't remember their name.

  • I come by and watch this one at least once a month! Great stuff!

  • Thank y'all for sharing your talent. Those are some great selections!

  • is Emily's sister ay red head ?

  • @dexter2433 Yes, the girls' great-great grandfather had red hair.

  • @mrgreer51 there must have been red heads on both sides of the family :-)

my 7 year old little one is also red head and they are genetically not the same then any one with out red hair .

it is fascinating research and they found out in 2006 they require more Anastasie as much as 20% more to be put under for surgery and that melanocortin 1 receptor (MC1R), found on the 16th chromosome is found that this single gene was responsible for red hair.

and it is a genetic mutation only red heads have

  • @dexter2433 and bot the father and mother must carry the red head gene (not the genetic mutation.) in order for them to have a child with the (genetic mutation) that will have the side affect of having red hair.

I am sorry for rambling on but every sense my daughter was born a red head is has been very fascinating to me why she is and how they are not the same as other people (I am a bit nuts about it i know so sorry ) :-)

  • @dexter2433 and even with both the mother a father having the gene it is still only a 1 in 4 chance that they may have the genetic mutation.

buy the way yall are fantastic at playing bluegrass and i must ask was it really Emily singing the base voice in Will You Miss Me video????????

  • @dexter2433 Haha! No, that's me singing. Emily is only mouthing the words. It's a fun little trick to play on stage.

  • love the music, do you have a cd or tape that you sell. hope so.. good lsu tailgate music.

  • super cool family!

  • Pretty toe tapping there pops whose the chickees your grandaughters, Kia Ora from New Zealand.

  • @oneandonlybatfoy They are my daughters.

  • @mrgreer51 oops sorry, ive looked around your other posts and yep your telling the truth :-) even married to some lucky men Ive found out. Keep up the good work sounds fun. The closest thing we have like that down here is country music.

    A French living in Vietnam...

  • This is one talented family.

  • this is real americana music, its also nice to see younger people learn and play it as well,a fresh breath from the rap crap gangster house thumpin crap they play nowdays, this is old timey music with feelings, almost a lost art now to the younger set,one thing about the kids growing up in the south is they still belive and love the old ways, good for these kids i hope they have a long future ahead of them, thanks for the music,

  • well sitting here in aberdeen scotland come across you while looking for deliverance footage played youre one then played more of youre clips and was very impressed . will be playing more of youre clips from now on.

  • @rascaltheferret Thanks, Aberdeen!

  • wow cant stop my leg from stomping ,really love you guys ,amor from carribean

  • How about Mama sings bass...daddy sings tenor,...me and my daughters will join right inna. You guys are awsome,...keep on playing.

  • I must say after listening to several musicians of this style one really has to like it to continue with it

  • @gorillius I'm sure there are lots of folks that don't care for this kind of music. That's okay. It's kind of what I grew up with, and we basically do it for fun and for the challenge of getting the harmonies and the instruments balanced out..

  • @mrgreer51 Thanks for adding that piece of insite which gives me more clarity and understanding of this style.

  • Very well played

    fantastic

  • As we say in Angleterre - lubbly jubbly

  • Enhancing the soundtrack... every thing you're doing here is terrific! Singing, bass, fiddle, and guitar. Emily has a great voice once she finds the resonance. The fiddling is superb. Bass girl is slaying dragons down there, and Mr. Greer, that's-a mighty fine pickin.

  • @pappyfiddle Thanks, Pappy! We're just having fun. The bass player is a senior in college, majoring in English education, the fiddle player teaches 2nd grade, and I teach junior high. We hardly ever get to play together anymore, but we cherish the times we can.

  • Thibodeau's My Name (© Chris Stuart, Backcountry Music, BMI)

  • awesome I want a cd too

  • Enjoyed the singin and the pickin, wonderful family, Aieee!

  • @firegaurd7 Yes, they are my daughters. They take after their mother.

  • that is so good

  • im from thibodaux!!! and if u meant the place u spelt it wrong

  • @OHitsRANDOMsarah24 Oops! We're from SW MO, so we really didn't know how to spell it. I used google to get the spelling I used. Maybe there's more than one way to spell it.

  • Do you have CDs we can buy????

  • @HarpinBill Yes, as a matter of fact we do. I will send you a message.

  • Super-dooper!

  • Thank You Music Lovers!!! :-)

  • @mrgreer51 Well I'm from south Louisiana and you guys sound like you could be from Thibodeaux. Thank you for the posts and the beautiful music!!!!!

  • Mr greer could you convince Molly to sing lead on video and post it

  • @sedieseldoc Molly actually sings lead on the chorus on several of our songs on YouTube. Emily jumps up to tenor on the chorus on those songs. It's just hard to tell.

  • Mr Greer, I have listened to you and your lovely family for some time. I have also looked at the comments and it heartens me to see that every one is positive in content and I believe that this reflects your goodness and down to earth attitude - also a quirky little sense of humour which cheers anyone who tunes in.

Wish you lived at our house. (Well, you sort of do, as we can see and listen to you any time we like).

Best wishes and God Bless you and yours

  • wonderful

  • you guys are awesome!!! don't ever stop what you're doing. my grandpa would love this stuff!! You all really are amazing!

  • Really, really nice job! Excellent harmony.. really smooth and of course. like all great bass players.. tend to pull the alto/baritone up to a higher level. (it's the one part that no one notices.. until it isn't there ;)

    Great stuff!
