to be honest, you really don't want to do long strides at all. If you're taller, it works, but if your average size or short, DO NOT do long strides. It just looks awkward. Michael Jackson was taller, so he could get away with long strides. Not to mention hes done the moonwalk like a bagillion times

That's not how you do the Moonwalk! If you're talking about the dance MJ popularized, it's technically called the backslide. The moonwalk is a totally different dance. You can see Michael Jackson perform it during many of his past shows. Watch him during a Billie Jean performance on the victory tours, or when he performs stranger in moscow during the history tour.
