oh I am so sorry for your loss....it seems that he was a wonderful dog! Lots of great memories, I'm sure. Losing a dog is never easy...I that from experience. But have one be your loyal, faithful companion for 12 or 13 years is well worth the pain you will suffer later, don't you think.....lovely pup!
Hahahaha...that was great. I almost felt like I was watching my own Chessie waiting to be fed. Mine is almost 9 and is still as playful as ever too. Love him!
Damn I wish I had one of these. I spent some time playing with one at work once, and I think it was probably the coolest dog ever. Fun breed, good personality
I agree this is definately a chessie thing. If my 1 1/2 year old still has food left in his bowl after eating he will go find a toys or anything he can get his mouth on, come back to the food bowl and cover the leftovers for later. Chessies are very smart.
i got my dog when he was eight and his papers said chocolate lab, but after watching this i'm almost positive he was a chesapeake bay retriever. he looks just like mine. i cried watching it. :( but after i felt better. he's adorable.
My Chessie Abbey carries stuffed animals in her mouth everywhere she goes. On walks, in the tub for a bath, to greet someone at the door, etc. She's precious! When I get my camera back I'll upload some of her funny antics. Cute Video!
Our chesapeake does the exact same thing, carries her food bowl all over the yard. The chesapeake I grew up with would carry my shoes with her out into our driveway and just lay on them.
all chessies have the same personality my chssie douz the same thing

I miss that boy so much. It was so hard when he passed. Vivacious until the end. Mom, these videos make me happy :-)

how old is your chessy now?
sadnessinside123 4 years ago
He is a frisky 10 years old. Still takes the steps two and three at a time. Still flirts with and woos my female. Tabasco went BOB at DKC in 2003.
