Saw them play Dundee Union supporting Love and Money (just before ) Labour of Love took off - braw night that.Question = What was the name of and what became of the original backing singer ? Anyone know
@FenderKing67 Original Hue And Cry Backing singer was called Davie Preston from Craigneuk, near Wishaw. He continues to sing with a Free/Bad Company tribute band in the North Lanarkshire area ... a great singer. G
Nice one. This song was written by Michael Marra for a tv play called 'a wee home from home' ( i think ) . He's pretty well known in Scotland and is has written a lot for plays , particularly at Dundee rep. All his songs are fantastic but this one seems to have trancended above all the rest and become something really special. Pat Kanes version is the definitive one!
I cant understand why 3 months have gone by without any input on this, anyone with a smidgeon of Glasgow in them should love it. Come on Glasgow!!!!! XXX p.s. Feelin like am alone in lovin this?

@legandrydirk : couldn't comment. His dad was my coach at East Kilbride Thistle and even then Ally was light years ahead of the rest of us.
