I am currently learning guitar, and i´m between buying a Cort z-42 or a X6, I like hard rock and metal so my taste is more for the X6 but when i go to classes they usuale give me blues exercises, so in that way i dont know if I shall just buy the z-42.

The only cort i've ever tried was a cort vx-2v. I really didn't like it. Maybe it was becouse of the wood, but it was extremely lightweight and felt like a plastic toy. Pickups was okay, but not only pickups make a guitar...For it's price, it din't worth it. IMHO

I have that guitar and it don't have problems with floyd rose. It stays in tube :) I think that is one of the best guitars for the price.

I play funk rock and blues rock and I have an ibanez with floyd rose...I don't use a lot the tremolo and it keeps in tune perfectly....I never tune up and it stays in tune for a week if I don't use the tremolo!

I hav one, and personally I think it's better than most of the ibañez guitars...

Of course is good for metal, from Iron maiden to Emperor!

And about the tremolo, can hold divebombs perfectly, and always stays in tune!

And the coil tap is, very useful too

i agree. Cort is cheap and better. I think that after changing pick ups with active EMGs, this guitar will sound even better than the prestige series of Ibanez. Then you'll have with 450 euro a guitar better than an ibanez you paied 800...

Well, if this was a pro recording and sonded like that, i would have said the same, but it's not...even if the guitar has background buzz, it can be fixed with a simple wire screening, and with a nice EQ you can get the pickups to sound exactly the way you want
