Anywhere from 5-10 minutes to an hour.

Some people will stay frozen almost indefinitely, (or at least until they fall asleep ;o) but most people will only stay frozen till they get bored, or realise that no-one's planning to free them.

Saying that... if someone likes being turned into a statue, then they'll freeze for a lot longer.

In Nikki's case, no. She liked the idea of forgetting absolutely everything once we'd finished the session. We worked together a couple of months later though, and that time round, not recalling a thing from her first session really confused her, so I had her remember it all.

With most people who're good subjects, they'll have no awareness of what's going on whilst they're frozen. If someone's not so good at entering trance then they might freeze but stay aware.

It's hypnosis, not magic. Most people will move a tiny bit, even unconsciously. Actually during an earlier freeze, Nikki's eyes hadn't been moving, or even blinking, as a result her eyes watered so much that she had a tear running down one cheek. On waking up, she thought she'd been crying, so I told her that she'd still blink even while frozen.

It's an instruction that you give a person whilst in trance, that they later respond to once awake when they hear a particular word or phrase. (For example, saying "Freeze" makes her fix in place unable to think or move, and saying "Move" lets her carry on moving, unaware that she was frozen)
