you wanna know what i secretly think? not trying to be trivially funny or anything but i think that john and paul actually had romantic feelings for each other but couldn't admit it. 'cause i mean if you think about it they were the only two people in the entire world who could get and tolerate one another and seemed like they were just soulmates. to me, it was always their love story to tell. not john and yoko's, not paul and linda's, heck, not even the beatles' really, but lennon-mccartney's!

Long story short. John did an interview, which is on Youtube, where he said "if I can't have an argument with my best friend...who can I argue with?" The guy said "is Paul your best friend?" He said "amongst the guys in my life..yes" That is paraphrased but all in all the world turned it into a hatefest. They still spoke and hung out until his death. Even Yoko told Paul that John loved him. They were brothers from another mother.

@katrin2801 My opinion on this is: John and Paul loved each other very deeply. There was hurt there, but you need love to have hurt. That is enough for me to love them both. I don't favour one or the other and I think it's harsh to do so. I do however agree that it's revolting how "John lovers" or however you want to call these people critisize Paul into the ground. The point is, these are two guys who shared a very special friendship and love and we should all respect that.

i think John and Paul were made for each other....they loved each other so much, they had so much in common....i think when the beatles broke up....it hurt them both....even tho they were so pissed off with each other, however they couldnt help but make harsh songs about each other, which implies they still loved each other til the end cuz if they didnt they wouldnt have wasted the time....Paul was devastated when John died....i think that hurt him most
