Love the music so much Yea this is the best sketch comedy I seen since SNL started to suck. Yea it started to suck back in the late 90's and been sloping since. Kids in the Hall on the other hand had a great name a gay guy and the music...everytime they cut away and showed those real cool black and white shots of the guys before and after commercials I thought Jesus Fuck those guys are cool.
I hear this in my head walking down the halls of my highschool and feel pretty amasing. I also picture the best film work, of people quickly passing by.
anyone else like how the logo on the glemonex pill saying brain candy in cross formation is totally the bayer asprin logo, thats funny to me because bayer is the company that invented and marketed a little chemical called dia-morphine, aka heroin, it was given that label by the employee who refined it from morphine because it makes you feel like a hero according to him. It was sold in the back of sears robuck catalog and advertised to cure throat colds and morphine addiction. yeah
When I went to Toronto I loved it....and as I walked the streets and took the subway I thought about SCTV and...The Kids in the Hall.Nothing like going in Harveys and having the Kids in the Hall theme stuck in your head!
@lovetoeatallthefood lol i read your comment and instantly cracked up. kinda got in trouble at work for slacking off a bit, but hey, it was worth it for the laugh. good pull!
I'm not gonna lie, i remembered actually feeling really sad on the final episode when they where being buried.....man...i miss 1995 haha feels bad man
This reminds of grammar school.....because that's where I was when Comedy Central still freaking showed Brain Candy. This is still one of my favorite opening themes ever.
@MrRawrdy That's the coolest thing I've ever heard in my life it it's true. I used to have this song going on in my head whenever I walked around the halls in HS.
@MrRawrdy Best high school ever. We got "this is me in grade nine" by the barenaked ladies, or that horse racing song lol forget the name. I wanna say its by william teller..dont know if that person even exists
I was to young for this show (born in 1992) but yet every time I hear this song I know great timeless comedy is ahead. (I'm watching it as i write!)
This song is also important to me because it is just AWESOME, it is so 'cool' and even after many years feels 'young and fresh'. Better than much of the new music out there!
Ah, Kids in the Hall. I remember my parents would watch it all the time on Canadian TV, and I would sneak into our hallway and watch some of it, since I was too young to watch it with them XD.
Great tune, but what's with the shit guitar playing that kicks in after the song finishes? it's really bad playing, so it can't have anything to do with Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet.
@terrig i know you can find this on the internet... i have this song on my ipod. both this one and the one they actually play in the beginning of the show
@NothingOriginal55 Seems to me like around that time the "higher-ups" at NBC were pressuring Lorne Michaels to put SNL in "a new direction", which meant big changes (that yielded "less than expected results",according to NBC executives) and Mark's transition to SNL coincided with these changes.
@NothingOriginal55 SNL did suck at that time and still does in my option. It was probably hard to top the years when Chris Farley and Adam Sandler were popular on that show. I haven't been able to watch SNL since those years... there's just no comparison...
