Good initiative asking people to vote. I see many people asking whom to vote and why to vote when all the candidates contesting are not desirable. Well this could be a hypothetical but why not contest yourself when you think so.

Let the candidates be screened through a rigorous aptitude test. That way only the most educated, the most intelligent and most capable people will get to the administrative positions. All major parties contesting in our state are corrupted. None of them have a proper developmental plan. None of the parties will do anything signifiant for our state. Whom to vote to see the change?
Unless ppl know what has to be done to develop the society, aware of the problems in our society and willing to demand for the necessary solution, nothing will change. Most of the educated ppl are in economically wealthy and dont care about the society/government. Just voting and expecting the politicians to do everything for us is the most stupid thing an educated person can think of.
To the internet activists here, please remember that Indian democracy is a playground for political parties and not for the people themselves. Without the power of party no change can be done. To have a powerful party you need money and power. Even Mahatma Gandhi required the support of a Motilal Nehru to become a mainstream political leader.
To change what? Who to vote? That is the main question here! Disillusion with democracy is not to be solved by encouraging people to vote, but to enpower people to bring down those who they dont want from power.
Sorry, videos and activisms like these are childish and immature when you look from the perspective of reality. What would happen if instead of thousand regular voters, ten thousand hitherto apathetic voters turn up at the polling station? The same couple of candidates remain wont there
