Sailor Uranus and sailor Neptune but they turn the draft down for a sailormoon movie they were planning to do so IK left and directed RGU he always plan to make it a yuri or a shojoai but the artist chioa refused and they needed her for design purposes so they let her make the manga and most of the anime low key about yuri but IK still got away with hints in the anime as u all know bit when the anime finished he plan to make the RGU movie and wanted to go all out with Utena and Anthy as a yuri

Revolutionary girl utena is a shojoai! And in a movie a light yuri! The artist chioa(idk of spelled rite) just drew the manga and wrote the story the wall "IK" wanted it but jd let her have some freedom and she put her own personal twist to it so the manga doesn't seen to be yuri or at least a shojoai becuz she just wanted them to become friends the ruff draft of the RGU plot was based on a draft that IK intended to use for sailormoon when he used to work there most of the plot was about

Alot of these series aren't technically yuri, Miko seems to be the only one who can really fall under that category.

Utena's highly debatable though, Utena actually was originally supposed to be a Girls Love themed series,but the executives forced the creator (who also made Sailor Moon) to leave many of those themes out. So we can't get much except sub-text out of Utena and Anthy.

The movie on the other hand... xD

In the series, Utena and Anthy don't kiss or date or anything like that. Besides, Utena says in episode three that she doesn't want Anthy as her bride because she just wants a totally normal boy.

Kellox17, the Utena movie Shōjo kakumei Utena - Adolescence mokushiroku tells about the teenage years of the characters. Therefore sexuality plays a different role. Yes, in the movie Utena and Anthy kiss at least twice, but in the series they are primarily portrayed as good friends. The staff members had many quarrels about whether Utena and Anthy should be bisexuals or not. Thus, there are many interpretations among the fans. My opinion is: they are straight in the series and bi in the movie.

The anime Revolutionary Girl Utena is pretty good, but I would suggest you read the manga first (5 volumes, so no biggie). The anime comes off as REALLY confusing in the beginning, but the more episodes you watch, the more you understand. But again, the manga is more explainatory of things.

To poster: And the OP song to Revolutionary Girl Utena should've had a higher place. =( But it's a good collection either way. =D
