Rosa Parks' run-in with the bus driver happened in 1955. O'Donnell adeptly moves from Rosa Parks incident (occurring two weeks after Cain's TENTH birthday) to 1963-1967. But, O'Donnell quotes Cain's book regarding the Freedom Rides, but these started in 1960 at which time Cain was 14; exactly as Cain states. O'Donnell's attempt at hit-style journalism is only so successful because his viewers on MSNBC are so misinformed.

What I got out of this is the question of as President of the United States, will Cain directly face and deal with every challenge that comes his way even if potentially faced with physical harm or will he simply take his fathers advice and ''sit on the back of the bus'' and avoid those challenges? He is an excellent businessman but I don't think he is presidential material.

It really concerns me that Herman Cain was at Morehouse College- a college known worldwide for producing educated black men and preparing them to become future leaders- and did nothing to help the Civil Rights movement. He was RIGHT THERE in Atlanta during the middle of the Civil rights movement AT Morehouse College and chose not to help make life better for African Americans. I respect Mr. Cain, but thru his life he really has sold himself out tryin to get whites and conservatives to accept him
@fowlermanager syke. Herman Cain was attended Morehouse College from 1963-1967, which was a pretty pivotal time period in the Civil Rights Movement. I understand him not participating while he was in high school though.

@amphib2007 Cut spending elsewhere or allow citizens the right to opt out of those programs. Introducing a new tax is the worst idea. It sets a precedent and we will never get rid of it. The 9-9-9 is a bigger tax than I already pay anyway. Bad plan in my opinion.
