As far as my favorite bands, here's a short listThe Old 97's, Wilco, Led Zeppelin, Storyhill, Mike Doughty, The Beatles.

And naturally, the scores of John Williams. I actually had the good fortune of meeting Mr. Williams a few years ago and I tried to explain how much his music (especially the SW scores) meant to me. I probably sounded like an idiot, but oh well...
