The US is much better at basketball for obvious reasons. The US education system puts most of it's money into high school and college sports(i mean come on, they practically have stadiums in high schools), while Canada focus' more on actual education. This is why the average american student is a complete retard(no offense).

Canada destroys any country in Hockey because most cities offer great hockey programs, although it's usually outside of the education system, not a part of it.
