  • So it has serbian wtf linus

  • u remind me of Scout lol

  • Takes up all the height room on a hyper 212. Running on a 1055t overclocked to 1090t speeds and temps seem to stay the same. Stock cooler runs about 10 degrees hotter on stock or 20 degrees hotter on overclock

  • tips on getting even more performance out of this thing:

point the intake to where the most cool air comes from

cover the sides with tape to keep air flowing through it

stock fan works better pointing inwards to the hyper 212, high cfm fan works better pointing outwards.

  • I like how when I searched parts for my computer build, LinusTechTips unboxed eveyrthing I need!

  • my friend has this cooler and its ok!!!

  • I only got -2 degree c difference with there cooler and cooler master thermal paste that came with it. I live in florida and my house is around 76 degrees all the time. I have a full tower with 6 case fans so i know i get great ventilation. Has anyone got great performance gains with there hyper 212 plus?

  • will this fit in the rosewill challenger case?

  • i was wondering what is best way to apply the thermal compound with this cooler

  • will it fit onto 1155 and perform well even if i overclock?

  • @TheArnzi Yes

  • @TheAPerson12 are you serius about that cus i wanna use this cooler on a 2600k

  • @abensbutik

This thing is a boss. I keep my 2500k at 4.5 GHz, and idle at about 25C, and Prime 95 tops out at about 50C-55C.

  • @TheArnzi Many people have overclocked to 4.5ghz with very good temperatures with this cooler :D

  • @TheArnzi

yes it will fit in 1155

    check CM website

  • @TheArnzi It's not for overclocking IMO but it's better than stock cooler.

  • @hemmipalmroos

You can get 5.2 Ghz with this CPU cooler with a 2500k or a 2600k, so yeah, it's pretty good for overclocking..

  • @GunSkillet ofc you can get those numbers but with insanely high temps. You really need something with ALOT more surface area.

  • @hemmipalmroos

60C on full load isnt insanely hightemps. And this thing is huge, it's like 7 inches tall.

  • @GunSkillet Pics or didn't happen. Run prime95 for 24hours and show the pics of temps and prime.

  • @TheArnzi As he said its a lower end cpu cooler not going to be safe for over overclocking you be better off going with the Cooler Master V6, V8 or even a Corsair Cooling Hydro-Series All-in-One High-Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

  • @TheArnzi You'd use the same configuration as the 1156.

  • Hyper 212 Plus and 2 Cooler Master Excaliburs = A FKING TORNADO IN YOUR PC!!!

  • myself being a Turkish; I know the fact that 99% Serbians and Turks won't even bother looking at the installation kit :)

  • @Berkahh

    So true :D

  • You're hailing them for those instructions I'm tearing my god damn hair out trying to figure out how to install it.

  • Serbian Manual ,we don't need that, plug an play :)

  • support amd fx?

  • @itashiu It does, AMD FX cpus is AM3+, with AMD you use the same system for am2+ am3 and am3+(FX)

  • Awesome vid. You just saved me about $40 on my next PC build :)

Awesome channel by the way. Yours have become my #1 "go-to" vids when I'm researching new equipment, looking for info, etc.

    Great stuff!

  • I seem to be getting higher temps than when I was using my Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro, like 10C more...is it because the fan is facing downwards as opposed to facing towards the back of the case? I've also switched cases from an Antec 300 to a Lancool PC-K62, was also thinking it might have to do with my PSU fan facing downwards so it's not venting hot air from my video card? I dunno...I was getting idle temps in the high 20s and now it's close to 40C

  • @Squa7ch I just noticed this is for the Hyper 212+ not the EVO, sorry.

  • @Squa7ch I don't know what the EVO cooler is but, make sure you cleaned off the old thermal paste from the CPU and then reapply some to the heatsink. You can get little syringes of the stuff from amazon or newegg for less than $10.

  • Awesome cooler!!! I got for an i7 970 and stay really cool while playing MW3 :D But I had to trick it out by taking of the stock fan and putting 2 Blue LED 120mm Apevia Fans :D The run quieter than the stock fan.

  • i just got these yesterday they are amazing!! no regrets

  • so does it fit to 1155 or not?

  • @a1rs0ftman Yes, it does.

  • @a1rs0ftman if you get a reply please inbox me im trying to find out the same question

  • @J0n3eR4M lol..

  • Does anyone know how you can stop the copper corroding if you leave at the coast??

  • @Jbay2608 I would say soak copper pieces that you wanna prevent from corroding in mineral oil. It is NON conductive so it wont short out your components if it spills and it provides a layer of oil to suspend salt particles before they reach the metal surface. I have a Honda CBR and unfortunately if you live near the ocean corrosion is inevitable despite your efforts. Synthetic oils definitely help to slow the process though!

  • xD you always forget the knife :P

  • Will this fit in my Wii?

  • @AlumarsX depends how tall your RAM is

  • NO am3+?

  • @SuperSmokingPanda

I just installed a phenom ll proccesor with the boxed cooler on a asrock AM3+ motherboard...

so installing a hyper 212+ should go just fine.

  • @KleineJoop Thanks Bro!

  • @SuperSmokingPanda

    No Problem. :)

  • I need a cpu cooler and tgeirs so much i dont no ehat to do... Help me out?? I cant afford noctua nh-d14

  • @MrShnuggleMuffins I recommend this cooler.. cheap, simple, effective

  • wich is better? this (cm hyper 212+) or zalman cnps10x performa?

  • was this easy to install? did you have to remove the fan to screw the mounting bracket and heatsink together?

  • @Sangrex2

You will need to remove the fan. Luckly, it takes a full 5 seconds to remove the fan and 2 seconds to re-install it.

  • Will this work with an i7 2600k 1155 socket?

  • @iJordan1811 i'm 99% sure yes, although the 1155 and 1156 are different sockets and you cant interchange CPUs, the mounting holes are the same, so a 1156 cooler SHOULD work with the 1155 CPU.

  • @JWK35 Cool, thanks buddeh, I've seen some people say they have it on an i7 2600k but I wanted to be sure :3

  • @iJordan1811

It is also on my i7 2600K. Currently, at mostly idle, I'm running at 33 deg C. idle does not mean much to a cooler this awesome though...

  • @Jai9100 Ok, thanks guys :D

  • @iJordan1811 works on 1155

  • Can anyone tell me if this will fit in a Cooler Master Storm Enforcer? on an i7 2600k

  • i have read some reviews on newegg

ppl saying its great in per4mance but but...complaining about its damn size...many ppl said that its too large to fit in THEIR casing

so now i wanna ask would it fit on cooler master ELITE 430 tower case???i have asus p5g41t-m lx mobo with dual core e5400

  • @tunethetuner ive been told by many people that it will fit in that case. I have the same case too xp

  • @Nerd4SureProductions gr8

but som1 said that top 2 fans won't fit if we use this cpu cooler in elite 430 thnx btw

  • Will this cooler fit into a corsair 600t ?

  • Will this cooler fit into Thermaltake V4 Black Edition?

  • difference between this and the one without the plus?

  • @LordBazaar The plus edition allows you to add a second fan for push/pull

  • This is the best cooler for $30 im running a AMD Phenom ii x4 965 BE 3.4 stock im able to OC it to 4.2ghz np im pretty sure it hasent even hit 50c yet. i have this in a CM haf 912 and i have almost a fan on every spot possible just need two more for the top and ill be done. but i also have 2 fans on the hyper 212 itself for the push andpull effect and thats helped out as well. great cooler and not hard to install this was the first cooler i ever installed and diddent even look at instructions.

  • I friggin' love this. Bought for my homeserver to replace stock fan of Athlon64 X2 6000+ (hey, it's a poorfag no-budget homeserver which is built from parts I had spare :P) and temps dropped from 80+ to <50°C on full load.

  • for this cooler do i have to remove that black piece on my mobo where like my stock amd phenom ii x4 965 be stock cooler goes? and if so is that thing hard to remove?

  • @woebeful well i didn't get a chance yet.. i was surprised to see the backplate of the processor has 3 torx screws mounted to it so i didn't yet buy a screwdriver for that.. but at least i cleaned the mobo.

  • Will this cooler be good enough to clock an intel core i5 2500k to 4,0 ghz?

  • @SniperKillerize provided your case also has good airflow, yes it will do it easily

  • @SniperKillerize Of course you will. 2500K goes to 4.0 GHz even on stock cooler if your case has good airflow, with this you'll be doing 4.5 GHz.

  • Can you remove the fan already pre attached and put on another type of fan(say a Red 120mm fan also from cooler master)?

  • @InfectiousGamerTech Yes you can

  • @InfectiousGamerTech Why you'd want to do that? Blade Master (fan that comes with 212+) has very good airflow and very low noise. Plus it doesn't has annoying bling-bling LEDs.

  • I like detail in my system, and I love the Sickleflow fans much better, They have a nice curved fin design and a cool detail, with 2000 RPMs with them. Thats why

  • @InfectiousGamerTech They also have an useless LEDs in them, unlike Blade Master.

  • @ShadowwwLFS like i said. I like lights =D

  • just bought this.hope it lives up to the expectations

  • I've bought one today.. 35c on idle and 49c on heavy load.. For just $29.99

  • the only air block thad u can compair with the scythe mugen

    looking at performance per Dollar/Euro

  • Just ordered, can't wait for my CPU to stop running at 85 degrees celsius when I render videos.

  • It has even Serban...yay :D

  • OMG that's the size of a frikin toaster oven!

  • which is better, this, or the cooler master v6 gt?

  • @AceGamingProductions The V6GT is a better performer. But this is much cheaper. hardwarecanucksDOTcom/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/34658-cooler-master-v6-gt-cpu-cooler-review-8DOThtml

  • @wwyk1993 i searched it up and it seems to have cheap parts that can break so for the price and popularity of this vs the v6gt id have to stick with the hyper 212

  • @HiOnLife14 Good choice there. Although V6 is a better performer, it is also much more expensive, and the price premium is not the performance increase over the Hyper 212 Plus.

  • im really sorry....i just have to ask this....r u Gay?..and not gay...as in ur suck...but gay...as in u like the same sex.... please reply ..and no offence :)

  • @durjoymukherji No he's not.

  • @durjoymukherji stalker alert.

  • does an artic cooling freezer extreme cpu cooler beat this?

  • @Zillamp3z no, if you add another 120mm on the other side of the hyper 212 + heatsink.

  • Will this fit the i5 2500k ?

  • @kukuricaman no i dont think so diff so diff socket but perhaps

  • @kukuricaman Yes, they are both 1155 sockets.

  • @kukuricaman Yea Ausi makes no sense, seeing as he doesn't know basic English, don't listen to him. 1156 and 1155 are compatible HEATSINK wise. It'll work on all Sandy Bridge motherboards.

  • Hi all. Will it fits in CM-690-II case?

And how do i apply thermal compound to this i i'm going to mount it on i7-2600k?

  • Hi guys, Anyone know if this will fit inside a Zalman Z9+ case?

  • @chrishainey It will indeed. Getting one for my Zalman Z9 too.

  • V8, Frio, or this?

  • I've been wondering, would this Hyper 212 Plus be able to handle a 4.0ghz-4.2ghz overclock on a AMD 1100T Thuban? OR should I continue with saving up for a Noctua instead?

  • this guy is polished. awesome talking and unboxing method. this inspired me to refuel my 1. building my own computer rig goal and 2. getting a piercing interest. I will be like Tesla visualizing and assembling comp sweet!

  • cyberlite tool is awesome computer knife tha tI use.

  • Cooler master is even available in the Philippines!

  • i bought it for 17€ refurbished xD

  • HELP, im looking to get this cooler for my AMD athlon ii x4.. when installing the thermal paste, can i just put a pea size amount on the cpu then use the cooler to spread it out? also, do i have to take my motherboard out of my case? it has a little cut out on back for the motherboard plate..

  • @tominator006 In reply to both your questions:

    1. You can spread thermal compound with the method you stated, however its not advised. Use a piece of plastic or a plastic bag around your finger to spread the compound.

    2. If you CPU case has a cutout in the motherboard tray that cleanly exposes the part where the CPU heatsink mounts are, then there is NO need to remove the Mobo from the case.

  • @ahsonk wrong

  • @coolmitchg and i am thinking you're clear cut explanation as to how im wrong will serve the purpose quite well as i am clearly not wrong unless you are taking what i have written as french or perhaps some other language...

    /kick: troll

  • @ahsonk No need to spread the compound, the weight of the cooler does it for you. Learn

  • @coolmitchg The fact that the compound will spread in a circular manner and not cover the CPU entirely or overshoot and start to spread out of the sides is why most people who assemble PC's and want absolute thermal contact use the methods i mentioned. IDK how much experience you've had with actually building systems but the method mentioned by you is for general purpose OK if it runs pc's... but on anything with a higher end proc will definitely see temp gains.

  • Comment removed

  • @ahsonk nice fail ;)

The cores are in the centre of the cpu, thats where the heat is. If you spread the compound, you will get air bubbles. Air Heats up meaning higher temps

  • @coolmitchg the purpose of lapping ur proc or having a heat spreader on it in the first place is to increase the area of dissipation as well as protecting the cpu core itself. as for air bubbles idk what kind of toothpaste u r using. with any new age compound the air bubbles are really no issue. i just paid a visit to your page and notice that

    1: you're 16 which isnt a bad thing but,

2: you troll a shit load of pages seeking out attention so im not gonna bother trying to explain anything to you

  • Comment removed

  • serbian, you say

  • yeah i have one and its a good cooler I had a drop in temp by about 11c and its more quiet then my 4 small case fans

  • dude fuck you for not showing me how to move those screws in the 1156 socket - i can't get mine to move or fit

  • @JyncVideos just pull up on them and slide in to place

  • @elfcomputers yeah thanks i figured that out yesterday lol

  • May i ask, this one, or the Corsair A50?

  • @JChan1026 Looked at the results of both attached to a Core i7 920, the 212 seemed to perform much better.

  • @calvinblinkee When they did the benchmark...did they use a 2-fan setup for the 212 or just 1 fan? I'm not a hardcore overclocker but i might be doing a little overclock on my 2500K up to 4.2Ghz, the A50 seemed to be a little cheaper than this, are the bench results neck-to-neck or really far apart?

  • @JChan1026 They did single and dual fan tests and the results were far better than the A50.

  • thank you

  • Hey Im Planning To Go Get A CPU Cooler Like This, Is It Compatible With Intel MotherBoards?

  • @Anction Yes

  • @Anction every single intel board since the pentium 4 days.

  • Would this cooler work efficiently with the Sabertooth p67, you know with its thermal case and all...

  • I want to know if it will fit inside this case which is the one i have

    Rosewill Destroyer ATX mid-tower

    Dimensions(L x W x H) 17.99" x 7.48" x 16.14" (bezel not included) 19.09" x 7.48" x 16.14" (bezel included)

    Thats the one I have :O !!!!

  • How adequate is that thermal paste? Should I just stick with them now or get some Arctic Silver

  • does this fit for mid-tower case?

  • @demon6937 it fits the HAF series

  • @EPBaseballer14 ok tnx for the reply

  • @demon6937

it fits in my NZXT M59 which is only 190mm wide. Its an extremely tight fit though.

  • does this support intel dual core processor or cpu 775 socket?

  • @demon6937 yea

  • compatible with 1155?

  • @akshaymohan24 yes, all cpu coolers compatible with 1156 are compatible with 1155

  • @akshaymohan24 yes, just mounted mine

  • magic key

    jajaja or ha ha

  • I ordered mine today

  • 2:16 Thats what she said... srry had to say it :D

  • I bought one and its hard as hell to install took me 1 hour and 25 min its a pain in the ass but it preforms very good

  • Damn, didn't realize it was so flippin big :O

  • Comment removed

  • i just bought this and it works great, it has a tight fit in my case(NZXT M59). the one thing i didnt like is that the bottom isnt flat, the area around the heat pipes is a little deeper that the rest but nothing a little thermal paste cant fix

  • Mine is coming in tomorrow. Woooo

  • can you use it with an 1155 socket? I recently bought an ASUS motherboard (P8P67 Deluxe) and it looks like it fits the holes and everything... I wonder if it will fit?

  • @osallivan231 Yes it can go on the 1155.

  • @xxvi3tboi5o4xx thanks a lot, now I won't worry about it!

  • I have a CM HAF 912 plus case and this cooler,I recomand it for everyone.Whit an amd phenom II 955 at stock sped the max temps are 45°C.

  • @pety49 Oh yeah i forgot the temp i sad was at full 100% load (prime 95 running)

  • @pety49 What board do you have, and does this cover any fan slot's I'm looking to buy the heatsink in a couple day's and do a mild overclock on my 955. Maybe to ~3.6

  • @xxmoney91xx My motherboard is Gigabyte MA770-UD3 rev 2.I have all 4 ram slots filled with ram(it must be low profile ram,not that sort of ram that has huge Heatsink like the Corsair dominator),so it dosn't cover any slots.God luck with youre overclocking

  • @pety49 I bought it, and I have G Skill rip jaw's and the fan just touches the very top of my ram heatsink's.

This this is damn good though, running prime my max temp is 48C before I was approaching 60C so I stopped prime. It's quiet as hell too, at full load I cant hear the fan (cool n quiet enabled)

  • @xxmoney91xx I'm glad to hear this.Whit the stock heatsink I reached 62.5°C so I stopped prime to.Can you post a vid abaut youre rig?I'll post also but now i don't have a camera :(

  • @pety49 My rig is just a M4A89GTD PRO USB3 board, in a black nzxt phantom, g skill ddr 3 1600mhz 2x 2gb ram, OCZ Agility 2 60GB, 750GB WD Green, XFX Radeon 4870 1GB GDDR5, and a Hauppage TV Tuner card, powered by an 850 Watt Cool Master PSU. I have no lighting or anything, I'm planning on buying an NZXT LED strip, then my comp will look bad ass. (Need to wait for my comp store to get stock.) So when I buy a second fan for the heatsink, I'll overclock, and buy the LED strip, then make a vid ;)

  • "the backplate looking thing" oh god.

as for that mounting plate, it's not adhesive at all. it's designed to be adjusted so the bolts can be inserted properly.

the bottom of the heatsink looks as if coolermaster did a fast grind, and you could probably get a little more performance if you were to lap it.

the heat transfer paste is pretty nice, although slightly thinner than you'd expect. It does a good job, though. Pair it with a scythe slipstream 12sh on the pull side for flexibility.

  • Just installed this cooler, performance is pretty good. CPU temps are around 48-52 Degrees with Prime95 running, although the case cooling probably helps too.

  • @GoneBadKiwi look. i have a cm storm scout so in the side panel with the window i want, or a i tried 2 put the two optionals fans that can be installed so i did it but when i want to put the 212 i cannot.. just because wast toching the fan and that make a noise so f.. fucker. actually im using the 212 with the 2 fans but i have to lay down it to avoid the noise

  • Comment removed

  • I think the hyper212+ would cook and wast dishes if i let it. It's that good.

  • I wanna buy two.One to cool my CPU, another to cut cheese with, om nom nom.
