ive seen raptors absolutely shread up at the dunes befor. im gonna have to chalk this up to driver error, even though towards the end of the day, the sand does get quite loose and even some of the best trucks can have issues from time to time.

@docstruthers You're wrong. I've ridden in a 2wd half-ton silverado with just a 4 inch lift and 33s in the dunes out in Glamis with the rear tires set to about 8 psi. Airing down the tires makes a world of a difference it allows the tires to flex on the sand instead of digging through it. Having rims that prevents the tires from popping off the bead is necessary to do this, and you don't need full bead lock rims to do it either.

@docstruthers My XJ cleared test hill many times just fine and I drove it on the street 90% of the time. BFG All Terrains...less aggressive tires than what that thing is driving on. I'd drive to the dunes, cruise around a bit and drive home...it's no big deal.

If I'm not mistaken, Ford currently has the fastest Pony car, the most fuel efficient pony car, the best lineup of truck engines, the most fuel efficient fullsize trucks, the most powerful heavy duty pickup engine, and the only stock off-road ready pickup. I'm not going to be immature like you and say that GM and Chrysler suck, as I like a lot of their cars, but they're not as good as Ford.
