i've got to alpine type r 15s powered by a hifonics brutus 1600w RMS amp. it pounds, but i need more power to keep it running. so cap, battery, alternator are next
@out2kill3652b ohh nice that will wake up the neighbors lol. if you still have the 4900 head unit without the faceplate, i will buy it from you. because i have a 4900 that keeps banging fuses but the faceplate is ok.
@mrfrodomagic sorry man, i sold that a while back for like $15 or so. but they arent very hard to come by one ebay. even google search has them. i miss having a low pass filter built onto the head unit though, i gotta fine tune mine with a dial and i cant get it just right. but it is ridiculously loud in my little ford focus hahaha
I had two E12's powered by a rockford fosgate amp. They HAMMERED for about a week with the gain at about half and then one day they both took a shit and stopped working. I'm broke so I went out and bought two Dual 12" subs from Wal-Fart just to fill the box and they actually hit really well for a third of the price. Oh well.
well ive had mine for about a year now. i love 'em. I need to buy a 500w rms amp to push them at rms though. They are getting about 200 a sub, and i need 250 per sub. But a few weeks of having them in, somebody broke into my car and got my radio. Now i have an alpine indash unit, its nice
@Timmay89 well i thought id give ya an update and say im upgrading to Type R 15s. I've got the amp to push it, just need the subs which i'll prob get in a few months or so. just need a cap and alternator and subs and i'll be set
@mrfrodomagic L series??? btw, i have alpine type r 15s now. all i need is a better camera to record them. also got rid of the light kit in the trunk. they pound though even though they are underpowered.
@mrfrodomagic oh yeah, i forgot the weird square subs were part of the L series. And I've got a pair of 15s. and i wish i still had that head unit, but the faceplate (yeah, just the faceplate) was stolen out of my car one night. im now running an alpine cda-9886, door speakers are the same in this video. and the amp is a hifonics bxi-1610d which is 1600w rms x1 at 1ohm
im gonna go type rs once i can afford too. i didnt buy any of my stereo equipment at walmart. so what if they sell most of the stuff there, i buy my stuff with warranties. walmart doesnt offer that. and my type e's already broke my mirror, and they are underpowered by like 100 watts each. so yeah
I got 2 type r's for sale. I can sell with box or without. Box is built to spec. Ill sell for 400 With box, carpeted. Also have 2 mrd-605's for sale to run them. interested?

@mrfrodomagic i dont know im not sure yet but my guess is that if your stereo keeps blowin your fuses it may be because it has a short circuit :/
