  • good review, you need a better camera

  • dubbing on this is shit

  • get a life man

  • Price?

  • @KelsyandKasey When I got these, they came out to 140 dollars.

  • I only wear Oakley sunglasses.

I've been searchin for a place that sells replica designer sunglasses After a lot of research, I bought from VeryCoolSunglasses. com

They look EXACTLY like the real ones.

  • @ShaunaSandVid except for the shitty quality dont waste your money on the shitty fakes buy the real deal.

  • Did your custom half jackets come with that case for free or did u buy it for extra. i want to know cause mine are coming sometime this week

  • thnx for the review

  • Very nice review, alot of info! I was wondering if you would recommend these for girls, I have been between getting the half jackets, flak jackets, and the oakley antix. The main purpose for me getting some oakley sunglasses is to be able to use them any where i am, whether it's on the field or just wearing them casually. So, your opinion would help alot. Thanks!

  • @Jay0so No Problem!

I have seen some women wearing the Half Jackets. If you like them, I recommend you get them! They are awesome glasses, and I think you'll be very happy with them!

  • your a pretty good review dude. but seriously, invest in a decent camera. you'll get a lot more views.

  • hi scionxb here and i have a shitty ass camera but some nice ass oakleys

  • Hi I really enjoyed your review. However I really would like to know what your sources were and stuff. I think your review was really good, and I was wondering what is the condition of your glasses now. Could you also go more into how to determine if the product is legit?

  • Good to see you enjoyed my review! So far, my half jackets are holding up very well. I spend a lot of time outside working, and my glasses get a lot of abuse. They still look brand new. One of the best ways to be able to tell that the pair of glasses is authentic is looking at the hinge. In many of the models, the hinge is actually incut into the frame, as i demonstrated in the video. There are many other ways to be able to tell. Try looking around online, that may be your best bet!

  • @Ch1neseI3oy a couple of other ways to tell is on one of the arms, the letters "ce" are embossed as well as "made in usa" on the other. My Juliets that I have are unmistakable just simply being that the actual model serial number is on the inner upper portion of the left arm that being 04-149. Your best bet is buying from an authorized dealer. You can find a lot of great deals on Oakleys on ebay, just do your research before bidding. My juliets came from ebay.

  • @Calbenmike

Thanks very much man! I couldn't have told it better myself! Excellent info you have there. I was never sure how you could tell with the metal frame models.

  • i made a custom of monster pups. i got them in the mail and they came with the same hard case. they are awsome! and i bought another pair couple days ago. (not custom though). on the custom i got i got them etched and polarized. they ended up costing me like $200.but yeah they are awsome. but the reason i got the same ones, is cuz they stopped producing the monster pups like 4 months ago

  • dosnt the hard case cost extra?

  • Yeah it does. I wound up with 2 hard cases though, one of them came with my glasses. I got my half jackets during a promotion they were running. If you get a custom pair, you got a free Oakley custom hard case. Hopefully they'll run it again, its a nice case they gave away.

  • I got the black Oilrig today.

  • i was just kidding. i dont care. this review and one other one helped me in getting my oakley flak jackets!

  • Congrats on getting your flak jackets! Did you custom order them?

  • no, i got them jet black/ black iridium lenses because thats just the look i like. i got them for 83$ dollars on a website with an oakley soft cloth and oakley soft vault in cluded in the 83$. the only bad thing about them is they aren't poarized, but i wouldnt go fishing in salt or freshwater in these sunglasses. i'm probally going to get some costas for for fishing and right now i use my oakleys for running crossountry every day for my highschool team and everyday normal use.

  • Very cool! That's quite a deal you got there!

  • what the hell man u flicked me off at 1:50 - 1:51 !!

  • ha ha... whoops!

  • you can do custom Oakleys in any O-Store.

I Work for Oakley. so dont try and say i dont know what im talking about.

  • Comment removed

  • then you can't cumtomize icons

  • thanks this is my brothers account but i just ordered some custom half jackets and it gave me the option for a case but it was $25 so i didnt get it

  • did it come with a free case?

  • Mine did, but I don't think Oakley is doing the promotion anymore.

  • I dropped mine a while ago and the lens got four scratch. I just bought it 4 weeks ago from sunglass hut.

  • do you like the blue lens? im thinking of getting a oil rig with the blue irdium lens.

  • I like them a lot. They'll prolly look very good with the oil rigs.

  • you should have gotten the xlj lenses

  • Ur reviews r great! But please!!! Buy a decent camera :/

  • Sorry about that. I have the standard webcam that I use with my Macbook and Imac.

  • whats the difference between the half jackets and the flack jackets

  • The main difference between the two is simply the frame design, and the price. Thats all!

    -Scion

  • Dude I bought these and they're a bit small for my head. Most people tell me that they look good on me because they fit me perfectly but I'm not convinced on how they look on me. The Half Jackets are kick ass though, I don't regret buying them, I just regret having such a huge head lol.

    Great vid btw.

  • I'm planning on buying a pair of custom matte black Gascans next, and get some prescription lenses for them.

Not sure if I want to do that though, I might end up paying up to like 500 bucks... :S

  • well i would suggest a case because it does protect the glasses very well, and i have both the case and the bag but i use the case just to put them in at home and everywhere i take my glasses i have my bag to put them in from getting scratched and then if i get my glasses durty i use the bag to clean them, and no the bag does not scratch the lenses, cleaning the lenses is one of the bags purposes

  • Is the bag that comes with Oakley sunglasses good at protecting them. Or, do you suggest a case?

  • If you're protecting them being scratched up then the bag is good enough, but if you put you glasses through rough conditions like throwing them around, leaving it on the floor, dropping them etc, then the case is your best bet.

  • Seems like you got a normal/small head. What about people with bigger noggins??? You think they'd fit good? Thanks

  • what is the size like? i am ordering a pair

  • Well, I couldn't really explain the sizing for you unfourtunately. My face is a bit on the narrow side, so mine fit very well, and comfortably. your best bet, is to try them on. I wouldn't really worry too much about the sizing though, because its designed to fit a variety of face shapes, comfortably. good luck with your pair!

  • can you see through the grey lenses. im wondering if getting polarized is really worth it.

  • The polarized lenses are really nice, expensive but nice. If you deal with a lot of glare, their well worth the premium you pay. For my usage of hiking, and climbing outside, they are fantastic.

  • did u have to pay for the case?

  • how dark are these lenses when looked through? are they dark enough and not too dark for most sunny days?

  • I find that the tint is perfect for myself, its not too dark, nor too light for my liking. My eyes are also a bit on the sensitive side, so I need to be careful with my tints of lenses. Your best bet is to check them out for yourself at a nearby store that carries Oakley.

  • did u have to pay for the case? like when i jus made mine it asks if u wanna buy a case...does it come with a case if u dont buy it like yours? cuz oakley was outta stock of the black soft vaults

  • Well the black soft vault that I have, I paid for, but the custom case that you see in the review, I received complimentary for the engraving on my lens. When I bought my Half Jackets, they were running a promotion to receive the case free with lens engraving. I'm not sure if they're doing this anymore, but it wouldn't hurt to check!

    -Scion

  • oh they dont do that now.

  • I just ordered Half Jackets with a Polished Aluminum frame and Ice Iridium lenses. I was wondering if you were happy with your choice of the Ice Iridium lenses!

  • I certainly am! I love the color for Ice Iridium. You'll be really happy with your choice!

    -Scion

  • can you see through the ice iridium lenses

  • Yeah, however, when you look through them, the lens itself is gray. the ice iridium treatment is on the external section of the lens, so when the lens is looked at, it appears blue, but look through them, they're gray.

  • iight

  • Do the XLJ lenses fit in the regular half jacket frame?

  • Yes, The XLJ lenses do fit in the regular Half Jacket frame.

    -Scion

  • Gascans and oil rigs are better

  • i just ordered customized gascans

  • hey would you happen to know what XLJ means? or entails? Im just wondering cause I want to buy a pair for my bf but I dont know whats better?? please helpp!!

  • The lens is a little bit larger than the standard lens. If he has a larger face, or needs better coverage for his eyes, the XLJ is it.

I'm not sure what XLJ stands for though. Sorry I couldn't help you more though.

    -Scion

  • Hi ScionBX1123 do u have polarized lenses? And tell me please, what made u to choose matte black frame? I want to have jet black frame with ice iridium polarized lansed and with team blue icons. what u think ?

  • I chose the matte black frames because they were the ones that I thought looked the best for me. I'm not a fan of shiny frames myself. I don't have the polarized lenses, but they are really nice. The combination that you have picked out sounds like a pretty good combination to me! Hope you enjoy them!

    -Scion

  • u should get Oil Rigs

  • lol...i got my customs in 1 and a half weeks

  • yea i have the half jacket, and ill have um on a while and start freaking out thinking that they fell off or something.

  • Compare / contrast the asian fit version.

  • I thought Oakly lenses are scratch resistant. Heck, even a bullet can't break it?

  • yeah i didnt have to pay for my case and i have flack jackets

  • did u have 2 pay extra 4 the case?????

  • Yes you do have to pay extra for the case.

  • Not Always! If you take and get the custom Oakleys, They were recently tossing in the custom case, free of charge. I don't know how long the deal is running for.

  • Just tell people no, and you wont have the fingerprint problem.

  • i had three pairs of oakley half jacket i recommend them for anyone who likes high quality stuff.

  • thanks looking forward to seeing that video.

  • nice review but poor camera quality. can you put a video on how to tell a counterfit pair of oakleys?

  • Well, I can certainly make one, I'll have to see if I can find a counterfeit pair, to demonstrate... There's a lot of ways to tell, but you need to know what to look for. One of them is how OAKLEY is spelled, many times on fakes its spelled OAKEY or something along those lines. Sorry for the poor camera quality, its my built in camera on my imac.

  • Well spoken. You're good at this. Because of you, I bought the Flak Jacket. However, there's a problem. Though the nose piece fit me well, the ear stems were too narrow.

So I tried the Asian Fit version because they said the ear stem would be wider.

Now, there's a problem. The Asian Fit doesn't fit BOTH my nose and my ears.

    Help.

  • Besides poor camera quality, there is a lag between audio and video.

  • dude dont be to hard on him.

  • Just pointing it out. I'm basing some of my decision on whether to get the Flak Jacket on this review.

  • The Flak fits me well, but I like the design of the Radar Pitch. Unfortunately, the Radar Pitch doesn't fit my face well. It's too tight.

  • I bought a Flak jacket without a polarization. I wanted the polorization, but you'd have to customize it.

  • The Flak Jacket is really good. The best I've seen, felt, worn.

However, I made a mistake of buying the Asian Fit version, because the salesman said the ear stems are wider and the nose piece are the same as the standard fit.

Well, turns out, the ears stems are the same and the nose piece is NARROWER, and the frame doesn't wrap the face...!!!!

    DAMN!!!!!

  • lol, man, you need to take those back and do an exchange.

  • Nah, my face morphed into the frame. Just as with Orthodontics, if you apply enough steady pressure to bone, the bone will add or deduct mass...aka shrink or grow according to pressure. That's how teeth move with braces. Your jaw bone fades / grows according to the pressure.

  • Your face did not morph into the frame. lol.

  • I don't know, but it feels okay now. I actually bought the Flak Jacket because of Scion's best review ever.

  • You respect him, FullyAuto95. You think he's good at this review and want him as an ally.

  • Really? I didn't know that! Thanks for the info! I'll have to take a look into that.

  • it says on the oakley website that the polorized lenses are thicker than regular thus the're non-interchangable
