very good nice to see fellow linux musicians, just come back to it after a year in windows and thought I'd see whats changed, really like qtractor at the moment and the lv2 Zyn plug in works great in LMMS.
very good,i have used seq24 a couple of times with zynaddsubfx... seq24 reminds me of my old alesis-mmt8 the way you can toggle the loops on and off in realtime.....
Nice, I just installed cinelerra, but the videos when exported are so big (e.g. my source is 55MB .ogv and it crashes and see the exported file .avi is 12GB), What setup do you use for export?, how big are ur files?, I am building a little beginner quick guide for Rosegarden but is 11 min and I just want to take out 1 min. plsss helppppppppp ;)
I select the "Microsoft AVI" as the file format when I export, and then click the little spanner icon next to "video format" and select "MPEG-4 Video" as the compression type. Make sure you have both the "render audio tracks" and "render video tracks" boxes ticked.
Thanks, you opened my sight ;), I'm trying now with the ogg theora format that supports video. Mpeg4 is still to big for me. (My 55Mb source file was converted in like 170MB)
I am installing cinelerra. It seems great!. You can use recordmydesktop to record your vids (although after I reinstalled my PC is stopped working with jack). Maybe it works in your system.
I've never had any luck with recordmydesktop or xvidcap, but I feel the hand-held-camera-pointing-at-my-screen gives the video a bit more "feel".. ha.

Aye lkrbt, Mate, awsome tracks , the other one you've done with LMMS as well, but you really should get your self a tripod for your video camera. :)
Check out the band "Cervello Elettronico" and see if it is possible to replicate their style with those tools.

You should send this vid to the zynaddsubfx crew to post on their site. Its a far better demo of what zyn can do than they provide. :) Great work!

does zynaddsubfx work on XP ?
sighisoaraa 1 year ago
@sighisoaraa It works inside LMMS, but I have never used standalone version. It should work too.

@lkrbt Sounds nice and dreamy! How would you incorporate audio samples into this setup? Jack to a daw?
emomagica 9 months ago
@emomagica A sampler could be used for this. Driven by Seq24.

Seq24 does what it does plain and simply, and it works very well. I'd have every confidence in using it for a live set.

Very Cool :), like it !! nice sound indeed, does your camera have mic inputs?

Thanks :)
I recorded the computer's audio stream internally to wav while it was playing, then synced the video and audio using Cinelerra.
