In my first post, I would substitute 'concealment' for 'camouflage'.. It seems to be more appropriate since Camouflage for me implies a sort of militaristic implication which does not do justice to the harmonious nature of these individual's art.
To help clarify the ending since it ended inconclusively.. I'll turn to Alan's essay, 'On Selecting Vibrations'. "Now then, to see that we live in a universe where, basically, "anything goes" is wha the Mahayana calls prajna or intuitive wisdom. But the inseparable handmaid of prajna is karuna, compassion, which is asking the question: "Given a universe in which anything goes, what are the most lovely, generous, and exuberant things we can do"
A great Watt's lecture. Though very off-beat with societies 'rules of the game'. As was well said, explaining this insight in action and words is extremely difficul. The crazy man is excessive and claims kingship or claims that everyone else is the king hahaha! The Zen master holds this insight but is also well in accordance with societies structure. He lives a lively present with great aesthetic and spiritual appreciation, yet adheres to the decorum of surrounding society.
Thank you very much for posting and your faithfulness to Alan's words. We greatly miss him. Please post more if possible. It would be very much appreciated.
