It really depends on the photographer but in terms of "bang for the buck", the K10D beats the D200. The K10D also has better weather protection and has shake reduction compared to the D200(shake reduction in Nikon cameras come with the lenses aka the "VR" lenses). In terms of compatibility, Pentax has less issues when using with older lenses unlike Nikon where some lenses do not meter, or where some lenses disable the 3D matrix metering of the camera...

no problem ;D , that's what I think as well, i know that D200 has got better AF, you can choose bethween "thousands" of lenses that has got nikon logo on it, butt I've choosen pentax, why (?) cos i fell in love with this cam from the first "holding", now I've got K10D, Battery Grip, FA 1.4 and i'll buy tamron 28-75 on days ;), and (i forgot about the main reason why i bought K10D) K10D's price is just a bargain, for this price you can buy a sh** called D40x (coparing to K10D
