Middle school I think is best. I'm in 7th grade so I should know, I mean us middle schoolers r wearing makeup and r entering high school and I think r mature enough 4 a cell phone. My sister who entering 5th grade has a cell phone and lately hasn't been using it when I'm texting all day

It isn’t bad for kids to own a cell phone, especially that they can use it in times of emergency. They only need to know how to use it responsibly. Simple phones are great for kids as these do not have network connectivity. Meaning, they can only use their phone for calling and texting. We all know that the World Wide Web features contents that can pollute an innocent mind so it’s still best for parents to be able to monitor the phone usage of their children.
