Thats incredibly false. Marine Corps training instills discipline, teamwork, and courage. Pretty sure all of those are required in combat. They learn even more about future combat environments and scenarios through MCT, SOI, and pre deployment training. Which currently takes place in Twentynine Palms, California specifically to help instruct Marines on how to fight in urban and desert environments such as the Afgan and Iraq. Boot Camp is the very basic training...you clearly know

  • Boot Camp is actually horrible training if you think about it... The entire point of it is indoctrination. The training is useless unless you're going to go back in time and fight in vietnam.

  • i guess we get to walk and not be fast and intense because we are marines now huh? must be nice. lol

  • ARMY= Arent Real Marines Yet

  • @PeTerAkAtoNy Ain't Ready for the Marines Yet. Yours makes no sense. =P

  • Marines , army, we all do our part.

  • oh man the frog voice cadence. brings back so many memories.

  • whys there a random construction building on base

  • @semperfisemperceler thye r building new barracks for the female

yes they r planning to have female in west coast again

i was there when they first started the foundation for the buildings

  • @SlaughterEmAll Oh hey!! thats pretty cool, i have some female poolee friends, itll be cool they wont have to ship tp parris island in the future.

  • @semperfisemperceler i know its sounds sexist but most of the female will not fully complete the cruicable

they tried to have female there once but it didint work out, the mountain doesnt work well with their hips structure

  • @SlaughterEmAll I was there when that barracks was completed and it was not for females. although i have heard that they are planning on having females west coast I dont know if that is true though. like the others have said the hills will destory the females because of their hips structure. and i am not sure how east coast did the hikes wether it was with or with out the females but if they did it with the males but if it is then that will make the hills that much harder

  • @MrJoe48 well u know the corp takes too long to do shits, but the female did do the hike in east coast cuz in my squadrons there r a lot of females who has hips prob from the hikes, and alot had shin splints from it as well

  • "double timmmeee!! ARCHH!"

  • fanny packs? xd

  • @xCh34pShOtx

No, its those shitty duty belt things and gross canteens that have been circling around boot camp for 30 years. That's probably why everyone was sick all of the time. When I was issued my canteens, it still had water from the last boot cycle.

  • This wasn't impressive.

  • DI: Plaaaa-toon! Ahhhh-ten-hut!. Forward!

Boots: "Sir, take a 30 inch step with the right foot Aye, Aye Sir"!!!

    DI:March!

    Boots: "Left, Right, Left!!

    DI: STAHHHHHHP!!. Not loud enough

  • @ jankeymb LMAO go fasters!!! I forgot all about that. That's some good times man

  • granted ... i haven't been in, in a long time. when did they go to letting everyone wear their go-fasters??

  • @jankeymb If you were sick and had a chit you had to wear go-fasters

  • I graduated in 1977, and we double timed everywhere. I can't believe I did it at seventeen.

  • @TheHoomaikai times have changed. Doubletiming is probably politically incorrect.

  • aww 1st phase

    how cute LOL

  • when was this video taken... i remeber that building not being there? WTF!

  • GAINWAY THIRD PHASE!!!! Hahahahahaha good times...

  • question:

is it a problem if you have glasses in the marines?

  • @wormogun no you can have glasses in the marine corps

  • Question: How can i find out what graduating platoon my father was in? The only info i have is he was in the 12th recruit batt. Jan. 1942.

  • @barmtrail ask him yourself?

  • @wafflecushioned Sweet Jesus....Yes thats an idea, why didn't i think of that myself.

Great advice waffle...Now if i could just bring him back to life.

  • @barmtrail I didn't know?

it stands for Marine Corp Recruit Depot

    thus meaning marines in training

  • MCRD = Mail Chow Racks Drill

  • NAVY=Never Again Volunteer Yourself

  • lol

MARINE = Muscles Are Required Intelligence Not Expected

ARMY = Ain't Ready for Marines Yet

    OORAH

  • @Zombifi3r ARMY = Airforce Rejected Me Yesterday :D

  • @commanderoftheelite NAVY = Never Again Volunteer Yourself

AIR FORCE = Ain't It Real Fuckin' Outstanding, Retards Can Enlist

  • @Zombifi3r Marine- muscles are required idiosy not excepted you know cuz they need intelect

  • @DJxKILLERBOY117 at the higher levels definitely

  • @Zombifi3r You actually have to pass a knowledge test before you can have the honor of being called a Marine.

  • @FmlRelationships really? i had no idea (sarcasm)...i wouldn't call that test a "knowledge" test...

  • @Zombifi3r Well then,you think you can answer a couple questions?(without using Google)?No,probably not

  • @FmlRelationships probably can

  • @Zombifi3r Ok what are the three parts to the MarineCorps emblem?what are the first 10 phonetical words in the military alphabet?what are the 11 general orders?what do the 3 parts of the marinecorps emblem represent?and mnay mnay mnay more, they dont just want masses of muscle, but they also dont want JUST nerds, the want a combination of both...

  • @FmlRelationships all easy shit to remember, the only thing about Marine Corps. knowledge that would actually take some studying would be the test that corpsman take to get their fmf pin

  • @Zombifi3r You cant answer any of those,or remember any, dude, its not THAT easy, grant it,its pretty easy ,but you still have to study, and TRY,not pussups and sit-ups all the time...

  • @FmlRelationships it is that easy, just cause it isn't for you doesn't mean it's hard to remember for anyone else...here's a knowledge question for you that actually matters: What is aa 9-line casevac?

  • @FmlRelationships none of that shit really matters, just FYI.

  • @Zombifi3r Ain't isn't a real word, you must be a Marine. lol

  • @GeneralArrow it's in the dictionary

  • are u fucking retarded?

  • no, just bored on weekend at ITB

  • that sucks man, I was there about 7 years ago. Good luck. I was n 0311, then a 0321 reconman.

  • i graduate here on wednesday then i head for 2/3

  • @xxxftwvidsxxx ASVAB for Army basic @ GED colored block building.

  • i perfer to go to paris island SC

  • OORAAHH!!!

  • haha dont show the new recruits, you can tell by the go fast and sleeves. My last month i was on the 3rd floor in that building. PLt 2119 july-sep. 05

  • haha i just got out of doing this....thats right by the Px building 548 i think, its got those numbers in it i think

  • yeah, it's either 548 or 546 something like that.

I was doing this over 6 years ago. Oorah!

    SSgt. Fox

    0369 Infantry

    First Marine Division Bravo Co.

    United States Marine Corps

  • @TheCrazySweed I don't recognize that building and I was there back in 1978. They must have made new billets. Looks like the quonset huts are all gone.

  • There's another video. The huts are still there.

  • those other Marines never had to hump the hills -_-

  • XD Ah, memories!

  • Mt Mother Fucker...

    What a bitch...

play in the pits after the short jog and the hump up to play in the pits there...

  • Am I seeing things? Are these Recruits wearing tennis shoes? All training used to be done in combat boots. Including swimming. What has happend to my Corps?

  • well in air force bmt they were called baby flights and r jus in there first week of training so its kinda like they want everyone to no they jus got there

  • they are called "go-fasters" you wear them mostly during the first 2 weeks and wearing your boots to mcmap and other Non-Running things...then you work your way up to boots and you start wearing the go-fasters less and less, TRUST ME you wear boots A LOT. My toes have never felt the same since (still kind of numb) =/

  • you joking me how the fuck is that training? all they are doing is standing in a straight line a scout team of five snipers could take them out but only the russians.

  • your fucking retard.

  • what do you do for a living? and crying in your moms basement is not an ocupation you fool, and what do you know about Russia, not a damned thing im sure. i would tell you to join the corps but i would not want a twinkle toed not nut sad sag sack like you in my corps.

  • I make pizzas... and i leave this coming monday for MCRD San Diego..

  • actually the video is 1:07 long, and to be honest thats their "break" thats the most time to themselves they will get (until mailcall of course). Right now they are buying things they need from the PX or getting a haircut (they are still noobs right now)

  • lol that training in russia the spetsnaz swam in a pool of blood from their fallen comrades to know that hey some people get killed on the battlefield and they get punched in the stomach to become near immune to pain.

  • Then go to Russia, maybe they will teach you how to write a fucking sentence. In the mean time, I'll be here in the US, proud to be served by the USMC. OORAH!

  • thats not entirely true...but kind of close...by the way, marinse or recruits also train by punching each other in "sensitive" areas to "deaden" or to "callous" them (example: inner thy, abdomen, back of thy, so on)

  • look at that cover and alinment, that there is good trash, understand

  • Hollywood Marines!....we make the Corps look good!

    rrrah!

  • theres no fucking difference fucking retard. second hollywood isn't even close to fucking san diego, its in LA. the training, the screaming, and the courses are all the same, just different places

  • parris island is tougher

  • You been to both huh, there are the exact same Paris Island is just older and more talked about in movies books etc.. The first marine division was the tip of the spear in Iraq, where were they from, Ocean Side california outta camp P.

  • yea becuase we had to hump mountains. bullshit son. how would u even know

  • Sounds like a hollywood wannabe jar head to me. Parris Island up, bitches.

  • Anybody saying Parris Island is better or visa versa is ignorant we are all equal time to grow up.

  • OK Hollywood. Whatever it takes to make the pain go away.

  • Bunch of Hollywood Marines. No different than Air Force basic. If you want a real Marine - Parris Island.

  • How the hell is Parris Island better the san diego?

  • If you have got to ask, you'll never know.

  • I am asking I went to san diego for boot. And Parris Island is no better then San Diego. The only difference is the sand fleas.

  • Why were they in such close intervals? Even looking at this at an odd angle, I can tell they're closer than arm's distance.

  • Sir... As United States Young Marine... i would like to inform yo uthat they are at the clsoe arm interval dress right dress manuever

  • Thanks so much. (By the way, I'm a female cadet in NJROTC).

  • Because Marines have real short cocks.

  • elasatlaculos, sounds like you been checking all the cocks out ! (you must be a squid)

  • To our future Marines about to earn the title soon, I wish you the best of luck.

To all of my Marine brothers and sisters, Semper Fi!

  • Wrong you can get recon or apply for it if you have excellent marksmenship scores and PT scores

  • You know it takes years to get into Recon dont plan on making recon right out of recruit training

  • Hey if anybody can give me a real answer...wich training course will I be going to? I'm from Pittsburgh PA.

  • You are in the east coast, so therefore you will be going to Parris Island South Carolina. If your from the west coast, you will go to San Diego. However, all the females will go to Parris Island no matter where your from in the states. I myself will go to Parris Island on november. OORAH CANT WAIT!!!

  • SEMPRI FI! Can't wait till i go now...

  • Actually, I've always heard the opposite. They say if you are east of the Missip you go to San Diego and if you are from the west of it you go to Parris Island. I am from Indiana which is well east of the Missippee and I went to San Diego as did many others. On the other hand there were many people from Texas and even California at San Diego. I think it is more about timing and numbers than you geographical home...

  • alright! same here.

  • well I don't know what 0211 is, but I know what CI means. wish you luck, pal. you goin' to Parris Island or San Diego?

  • then stfu and go away if your so damn mature, but here, we got slang like that so fukin cope with it

  • ummm shutup? and im a bit country, aint is a word in my dictionary

  • I remember just before we got out of the bus, the NCO in charge told us there were only 2 ways you got out of PI, Graduate or in a box! Being I am 5 -4, us feather merchants always seemed to be running when we were drilling or marching to keep up with the big guys in front.

  • Marines kick every other country's ass :P

  • i here they call paris island "Perish Island" cuz it so intense :P

  • Paradise Island my brother called it. can't wait to get that Hollywood asschewin', and become a Marine.

  • hah, i know what he means, yeh me too bro, you 13? I am, ill probably see you there er sumtin

  • nope. 17. I go next fall.

  • wel i salute you, goodluck. And tell me what it was like when you grduate. MAn some dude on youtube says the army is tougher, i told him be quiet before i dial 0311

  • thanks, pal. If I remember I'll tell you about it. doesn't that guy know what ARMY stands for? Ain't Ready to be a Marine Yet. whoa, I was considering 0311 for my MOS. small world.

  • yeh lol, i got Aint Ready for Marines Yet, he sed all marines are light infantry, HELLLOOO they are everything!

  • worlds finest done my the RMC :p

  • You mean Airmobile Brigade... Not airmobiel. Ive never heard shit about 95th Airmobile Brigade. Besided one of your battalions was disbaneded. What the fuck is your boot camp like??? Post a video of that shit on here before you run your mouth. This training is only ment to break you down and rebuild you into something else... Then you have school of infantry, and then you do work-ups with the battalions till you deploy.

  • Just for the record, you corrected the guy who misspelled mobile but did you check the spelling in YOUR entry? :-) Semper Fi

  • I am willing to bet out of all the places to do initial training whether it be Boot camp or Basic, and no matter the service MCRD San Diego is the hardest. Having the Airport right there has got to be just an additional mind fuck.

  • good point but on MCRD Parris Island your surrounded by a swamp with sand fleas the size of a mini poodle that you are not allowed to swat at

  • They focus on drill here dumbass, wait till they get to the fleet and your a fuckin boot. But your fat ass wouldnt know shit about that would ya. Go fuck yourself

  • fathinking, can you PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK UP, thank you.

  • they must be getting peanut butter shots. their asses are gonna be sore for a few days

  • still marching in go faster HEEEEEIIINOOOOUUSS

  • thats a huge ass platoon

  • most likely it was before they start cutting guys to other platoons to even shit out. I got moved 3 times before i found a home in boot. then i ended up broke and in MRP for an extra 5 weeks and put in another platoon. God Bless Carlos Hathcock

  • ...just a reminder, im comparing ranger school to usmc bootcamp, not usmc everyday training...

  • haha memorizes i can map out the whole mcrd lol god damn air planes flying all the fuckin time lol depressing as shit

  • ranger school is a lot harder, but not everyoine who is in the army is a ranger, eveyone in the marines is a Marine. thats the difference.

  • lol im a grunt in the marine corps ive trained with plenty of rangers they all say we train way harder then them lol get a clue

  • Did you forget hat the marines get a lot more funding for more training ? At least we all get the job done when it really counts...You must understand ... Every Branch has its own Gig going on.. So what if you have stronger biceps than an airman? Don't forget that you have to have the highest ( Minimum ) score on the asvab to get accepted into the Air force ;)

  • oh my gosh, he just compared the airforce with the marine corps.... you have to have the highest asvab scores yes, but that has nothing to do with intelligence. i went to boot camp with some really high scoring recruits who just sucked at everything. it takes competence to make it in the marine core and ever hope to hit anything higher than frickin E-3

  • Its not just the strength that makes a Marine. Its not like we'll take anyone who has a pulse. You have to be strong mentally and physically, not to mention be smart. I haven't left for boot yet but I'm already learning tons of things to prepare for my 13 weeks. No one I know from the AF had to study before their time in basic, they just went and came back. My Marine friends, had to study before, while there and when back. And they changed in a good way.

  • dmellow45 everyone in the Army is a Soldier....no matter if your a ranger r not....everyone in the army is a soldier...but a Marine is a Marine for earning the title Marine and that Marine is only a Marine...not a soldier....like other people in military branches r called. get my point. Oorah.

  • i kno man, but thats not quite what i was saying...

    oorah

  • i really hope ur not in the army saying oorah dmellow

  • no fool, i ws in the Corps. 04-08 camp pen

  • oh ok ok....my bad...my bro was in the marines...he got out in 99' now im working on becoming one.

  • Comment removed

  • good luck with that

  • lol I can't watch this anymore, bring a lot of memories back, E-3018 Hollywood Marines

  • your talking about our PFT. Recruits run way more than that in basic. We ran our asses everywhere!

  • That drill instructor has hanus sleeves

  • Those are like some CWO5 sleeves! LOL

  • For real lol

  • look at those boots slime their way back to formation

  • lmfao sociopathlove is a fucking idiot.... why are you comparing ranger school to our bootcamp??? you really make it sound like rangers dont have jack fuckin shit on the marine corps

  • what the fuck is wrong with u talking about marines like that??? we're all in the same fuckin united states...btw marines actually end up doing around 56 miles or somewhere around there...buddy...i dont remember exactly how many but my bro was in the marines...

  • boots.

    still wearing go fasters.

    no boot bands.

    oh those were the days

  • boots.

    still wearing go fasters...

    no boot bands...

    oh those were the days

  • sound like you were in the marines

when did you earn your boots?

or when DO you earn you're boots/how
