One was dead and the other was working on Spamalot. They settled for a man with years of voice-acting and music experience, as well as the man who created Wreck-Gar's goddamn theme. I assume your a youngin, If it helps, check out the REAL transformers movie, not that 2007 trash, He performed the song Dare to be stupid during the intro scenes of Wreck gar and the junkions. It was and STILL is an amazing movie. I seen it in the theater when I was 3, Im 25 now, and Its still my favorite
The only reason he had the mace to begin with was because this was one of the first episodes with Lugnut in it AFTER they had introduced the mace with his toy. Same with Soundwave. He didn't have Laserbeak with him in his episode because it was with the toy only.
I think that's the only time lugnut uses that ax

F.Y.I., Weird Al Yankovic did the voice for Wreck Gar in TFA. It's because his song Dare to be Stupid was in the TF G1 movie.
