TV Jones Super'Tron Neck Pickup / Classic Bridge (Filtertron) P/up Demo

Regarding the first tele, that is pretty much what I'm looking at for my guitar project: I wish to use a Klein Tele Bridge pickup with the Super'Tron neck pickup. My problem: Mr. Klein insists that the bridge pickup requires a 250K pot, while Mr. Jones demands a 500K. You obviously didn't use two different volume pots, so just how did you wire up your guitar?  By the way, is that Fiesta Red or Dakota Red? Either way, it is a lovely instrument.

Thank you for the good words! That's Fiesta Red, not sure if the video really reflects the right color. It's easier than you think to wire two pickups meant for different pots. In your case, you would want to use 500K pots and put a ~500K resistor (470K or 510K) in parallel with the bridge pup. Simply connect one leg to the same spot where the bridge p/up is connected to the selector switch and the other goes to the ground. This will do the trick. Hope it helps!
