I like the fact he's laughing on the last cut of the scene, it doesn't sound like it should be there. Something about this is closer to the others films, but with classic, scary freddy.
the boiler room enviornment is way ti big and oped spaced then in the original, i thingk freddy is creepier in a clustraphobic envornment like the origianl. thats the only thing the remake did wrong.
They cut out alot of good stuff. Thats when you know a movie is so good, that they actually had to cut good shit out. The scene after freddy kills Tina and is walking away sayin bye bye...thats creepy. This scene was cut out. One of the strangling scene with a close up on freddy was cut out.
Scratch that, the ceiling scene is actually here. I think I meant the Freddy drives the car away ending. But god knows, as soon as I post this I'll probably find that too!
Never saw this footage before. I wasn't going to buy the new DVD at the time of release, still won't. I have the set, so. Plus new versions will come, and some of the scenes are lost aren't they? Like Freddy on the ceiling with Tina?
His later laugh is harder to do and I have to say I kind of like his voice later in the movie than in the beginning, but no matter what Robert sounds great.
I understand they didn't want to show him too early in the film, but I think they also coulda stuck this in later. There were a lot of parts in the boiler room and this scene waz just done too well to be left out for time constraints or whatever.
This reminds me of great acting like
Al Pacino in Godfather or Heath Ledger as the new Joker.
Truly a underated and great actor. At least till they started wanting him to ham it up.
I really wish they had left this shot in the film. I can see why they removed it, as they didn't want to fully reveal Freddy until Tina's death, but still. He looks mighty creepy all back-lit and stalking the boiler room hallway...
@yopopcronos This scene IS really good and so is the scene where Tina picks up the worms in the trash can lid! :-) The shot of Freddy's face in Nancy's room after he slices the pillow with all of the feathers falling down is very good also! :-)

why was this scene deleted ?

I think Tina was the most toyed with and fucked with victim as a girl and possibly Dan in part 5 was the most fucked with boy victim.

I agree that they should have kept this scene in. It would added to the eeriness factor of the film.

"Child's Play" was a pretty good horror flick... "Nightmare" is one of the greatest films, period, ever made.
