The reason not one Israeli soldier died was due to their training and conditioning of the soldiers. The unit that is believed to be involved on the boarding was the Sayeret 13 an elite unit which less that 1% of applicants are chosen and half of that complete training. Any other lesser trained unit would have surely suffered casualties . The fact that even such an elite unit had to result to live fire is a testament to how viciously they were attacked and the fact they were heavily outnumbered.

and btw those who say it happened in International waters and therefore was illegal this is not true. Experts in international law have said that a country has a right to enforce a blockade and if that entails boarding a ship in international waters they are allowed to do so as long as all procedures are followed, which they were. These procedures require warning the ship trying to break the blockade to halt, which is what occurred.

The reason not one Israeli soldier died was due to their training and conditioning of the soldiers. The unit that is believed to be involved on the boarding was the Sayeret 13 an elite unit which less that 1% of applicants are chosen and half of that complete training. Any other lesser trained unit would have surely suffered casualties . The fact that even such an elite unit had to result to live fire is a testament to how viciously they were attacked and the fact they were heavily outnumbered.
