@jasonlittlewolf you make a good point. I also think people go to a point where they use slang and umbrella terms to get there point across. I even think people can use terms they assume someone will understand for the purpose of not having to explain themselves. I being assigned by terms such as above by anyone that I dont speak to on Youtube I become defensive. This happens Rarely now. But before I felt the need to inform people not to assume anything when it came to me. life is crazy.

@CatFlashBlue: I do explain that there are trans guys that fit into the binary genders, and that for those that don't fit, "thats where those other terms come in" being gender queer, and gender neutral. Sorry for the confusion.

I think you combined the definitions of transgender and gender queer, which is dangerous. I'd have to say a person is transgender only if they identify as the gender opposite their physical sex. Their level of masculinity and femininity puts them on the spectrum, more towards grey area or more "society standard". Crossing over a line into gender queer offers up even MORE grey area, but there is still 1 distinct difference: a binary identity or not.

This was really helpful, thanks. Comes at a good time too. My friend and I were just discussing our desires/lack of to have bottom surgery. Left me with a curiosity and need to do some more research.
