  • @cyruseven75 eh, both regular pullups and kipping pullups are used for different things, and crossfit DOES do regular pullups, too, depending on the workout. also, kipping is a more functional movement that serves several purposes. you don't know what you're talking about. i actually can do regular pullups over kipping ones, as i find kipping ones hard. with those, you have to use your lats, arms, AND your core.

    1) As noted in the video info, I weighed 62.6 kg when these pull-ups were filmed. Now I'm about 64-65 kg.

    2) No, fortunately I don't. :-)

  • @orangedac I used to get arthritis pains from pull-ups. However, I don't anymore after I stopped going down all the way. Who cares what people say about locking elbows straight? Listen to your body. My body needs a slight flex at the bottom. I feel stronger and healthier now, and am without pain.

    Competition max lifts: 147.5 kg squat, 90 kg bench, and 192.5 kg deadlift (National senior record). My squat and bench training maxes are slightly higher. My best total is 415 kg (137.5 kg squat, 85 kg bench, and 192.5 kg deadlift).

    Without powerlifting gear I've done 90 kg squat (with belt), 72.5 kg bench, and 130 kg deadlift (with belt). I would probably be able to do a little bit more in squat and deadlift now, but I very rarely do raw max lifts in those two exercises.
