When he got in the Prius, he realized that there is whole different world out there in which people do real things not just make up. His idea of producing better cars means better looking and full of gadgest you may use once or twice until the car falls apart withn a year or so. So, since he thinks that people are idiots and want to buy a a car just because it looks good or it has more gadgets, he just can digest the mentality that has produced the Prius and Insight.

Went to Toyota and Honda to test drive these cars. Night and day in design. Honda looks cutting edge inside and out. The Prius sucks on the inside. That huge middle thing with the small joy sticks looks retarded. The outside looks like chucks of carved out plastic. The price was ridiculous. Couldn't get it totally tricked out in the high end model Prius V. You either got one thing and lost another.

The 2010 Prius is $1500 more than the entry level insight.

ALL Prius come standard with VSC and Traction control. Not the Insight :(

The backseat in an Insight is dreadful. It is rated as a SUB COMPACT

The Prius is Rated as a MID SIZE

The prius is faster, more solid and gets an extra 9MPG combined according to the EPA

Since they redesigned the car (which is 2 years ago) it has had STANDARD Smart key on ALL levels... what you are reading is about the fact that the top 2 levels have sensors at 3 positions for entry. The others only have sensors at the drivers side door.

You continue to prove that you do not know what you are talking about.

This guy is an idiot. He is obviously biased toward the Prius. The Insight is a great car. This guy simply quoted the EPA estimates for the Insight.  I average 40-45 City driving and 50-55 Highway driving. I live in the mountains of North East Tennessee and driving here can be pretty harsh. I tested the Prius, the Jetta TDi, and the Insight. I chose the Insight because it encompassed everything that I was looking for. People just need to give a chance. It really is a great car.

I have been driving insight for last 3 months. i dont see any problem that you mentioned. fuel economy is between 45 - 50 mpg in city/freeway. i drive in ecomode. the good thing is; i could buy the insight with navigation & BT that i could not afford in prius. u said prius is sportier look than insight. no. From outside, Prius looks like an old people's car, while insight looks like younger generation car. i like insight's colorful display. i hate prius display - looks like life without color.

How did you miss how he compared them? Just because a car isn't on sale yet doesn't mean that you can't hypothesize how it'll compare with the current competition. He even provided specs for you, lol.

Lastly, the Volt, in the USA, the purchaser will receive a 7,500 US$ tax credit. In Canada, it's upwards of $10,000 (I don't believe if currency was noted, so I'll assume US$ as well), essentially bringing the fully loaded price of the Volt to approx. 32,500 US$.
