When he got in the Prius, he realized that there is whole different world out there in which people do real things not just make up. His idea of producing better cars means better looking and full of gadgest you may use once or twice until the car falls apart withn a year or so. So, since he thinks that people are idiots and want to buy a a car just because it looks good or it has more gadgets, he just can digest the mentality that has produced the Prius and Insight.
This entire review was basically "Hey, I think the Prius is pretty cool and I'm gonna tell you the same! Oh, and I guess the Insight is maybe kind of cool too I guess probably."
This guy is a douche. Seems stoned or just loopy. Says "twenty ten.....................................................................honda insight" "and we're putting them head to head, test driving both of them". No, really? I thought you'd just test drive one of them. That's crazy that you're going to test both of them. Go snort some more of whatever you're on.
Went to Toyota and Honda to test drive these cars. Night and day in design. Honda looks cutting edge inside and out. The Prius sucks on the inside. That huge middle thing with the small joy sticks looks retarded. The outside looks like chucks of carved out plastic. The price was ridiculous. Couldn't get it totally tricked out in the high end model Prius V. You either got one thing and lost another.
i want my 7:40min back NOW!!! i'd prefer a review from a str8 guy and not fag... like other comments below... performance comparisons were butchered in this video... the Prius handles better and is more responsive?? give me a fcuking break... his comments on the Prius stying is better than the Insight is definitely his (gay) opinion... he should just state the facts...
Chevy Volt... "40 miles without the use of gas" and then what?! :D ...probably charging couple of hours before driving the next 40 miles :D gimme a brake... and the price around $40.000... "Neither can be compared to Chevy Volt"... yeah, that's right! This car doesn't make any sence and it's not even on the market yet! :D
this dude is really, really, lame. He seems to be a little led by something and he also fails to highlight anything that the Insight has that the Prius does not. I guess the dude just annoys the crap out of me. I don't even have a hybrid. And... WHY IS A GUY FROM THE COMPETITION RATING THE GM'S COMPETITION CARS??
@pepene93 What are you? a 5 year old... way to stick to the facts... Go ahead and flex those muscles behind your computer... typical of an internet punk... but you obviously don't know shit. based on the fact that all prius are push button start with no need to insert a key, and also that you dont have to take the key out of your pocket to lock or unlock the car. Hence: standard smart key on ALL levels
@darylcallahan i actually did look it up, and only the top model, or the top 2 had it. it may have changed for this model year. and yes, i do have a drivers license, but i drive real cars, not priuses.
@pepene93 What I am telling you is that I am a PROFESSIONAL... You are not. You can say you looked at the website, but this is how I make my living, successfully.
Since they redesigned the car (which is 2 years ago) it has had STANDARD Smart key on ALL levels... what you are reading is about the fact that the top 2 levels have sensors at 3 positions for entry. The others only have sensors at the drivers side door.
You continue to prove that you do not know what you are talking about.
I'd buy a Prius if I could find a dealer who would not shaft me by adding thousands over MSRP. I want to buy it at near dealer invoice just like I would any other car.
This guy is an idiot. He is obviously biased toward the Prius. The Insight is a great car. This guy simply quoted the EPA estimates for the Insight. I average 40-45 City driving and 50-55 Highway driving. I live in the mountains of North East Tennessee and driving here can be pretty harsh. I tested the Prius, the Jetta TDi, and the Insight. I chose the Insight because it encompassed everything that I was looking for. People just need to give a chance. It really is a great car.
I have been driving insight for last 3 months. i dont see any problem that you mentioned. fuel economy is between 45 - 50 mpg in city/freeway. i drive in ecomode. the good thing is; i could buy the insight with navigation & BT that i could not afford in prius. u said prius is sportier look than insight. no. From outside, Prius looks like an old people's car, while insight looks like younger generation car. i like insight's colorful display. i hate prius display - looks like life without color.
Your statement in the end is ridiculous. How could you possibly compare these cars to a car that is not on sale yet? Mind you, the Volt will cost a lot more, and why do you think driving in silence is a good thing?
How did you miss how he compared them? Just because a car isn't on sale yet doesn't mean that you can't hypothesize how it'll compare with the current competition. He even provided specs for you, lol.
Lastly, the Volt, in the USA, the purchaser will receive a 7,500 US$ tax credit. In Canada, it's upwards of $10,000 (I don't believe if currency was noted, so I'll assume US$ as well), essentially bringing the fully loaded price of the Volt to approx. 32,500 US$.
When cars go all electric or hybrid, there will be a big spike in accidents from pedestrians and drivers who only listen for engine noise instead of looking around. They will not notice you and you will hit them.
dude, if somebody just listens for cars instead of looking is a retard. also, theres plenty of cars on the road right now that have very quiet engines. the noise you hear is from the tires and the wind...barely any engine noise.
Yes I agree with you, however, the moment one blind person is run over, it will cause a world wide s---storm which will be blamed on car manufacturers who then add 'sound' to their silent engines. It's really not their fault, but they're going to take the blame when careless people get run over.
he complain about the noise on the insight? that's the whole point when you step on the gas pedal really hard!

The insight totally out handles the Prius and grips much better as it is lighter and has better suspension.
I'm not saying its a sports car, but this guy sounds totally biased when he made that retarded statement.

The 2010 Prius is $1500 more than the entry level insight.
ALL Prius come standard with VSC and Traction control. Not the Insight :(
ALL Prius come standard with Smart key. Not the insight :(
The backseat in an Insight is dreadful. It is rated as a SUB COMPACT
The Prius is Rated as a MID SIZE
The prius is faster, more solid and gets an extra 9MPG combined according to the EPA
Honda tried to copy the Prius. Not succesful
better of with civic hybrid
2010 PRIUS FTW!!!
darylcallahan 2 years ago 2
actually, i just checked their website, only the top level prius comes with the smart key.
pepene93 2 years ago
There are two levels of smartkey brainiac! Do your homework!

if by smartkey you mean one with an integrated fob, then youre living in the 40s. the vast majority of cars have those.
