Great video!!!! I miss running through the night in the worst of the worst, but I also like my warm bed on thoes worst of the worst nights:) Keep up the great work.
OMG I miss this so much, such beautiful scenery on this line while working on the Timber Train. Thanks for the videos Engineer Dave, nobody could drive that train like you could, so smooth, especially stopping on the Beauchesne Tresle.! hee, hee. I see the old engine 2002 is still around. Why didn't I see all the moose and deer when I was there? Is Grandfather Pine still around? Miss you guys.
dude, thats awsome. I want your job so bad, not enough money to go to collage for it yet though hahah, one day soon. I would love to run nights like that in the snowy weather. Good work on all your videos.
I'm not a sectionman who repairs the track, but I don't think snow has any effect on it. But what does is the sudden change in temperature from very cold to mild weather. Broken rails are repoted more often under those conditions.

Good thing you can't get lost out there on the rails, and you know that if you have to, you can always back out.

for europe such a low clearance would be unthinkable on a railway line.
Isn't there a law for that in Canada? How many trains does this line see?

@fpkayser Well you have to consider the fact that its in the middle of nowhere...lol.

But it is also a lil creepy.

Wow. Surreal. Seems like you're going off into nothing. Does the snow have any effect on track gage and roadbed stability?

Hi TTGVP
This Branchline starts in Mattawa Ontario Canada & ends in Temiscaming Quebec. It services a pulp and paper mill. The line is 40 miles long.

Very cool video. Did any of those trees give you problems? It's like a winter jungle track!

Thanks Mafarnz, a broken mirror on the engineers side is all that was damaged that trip.
