  • ...rohadtjó!!

  • i love the violines in this one!

  • Awesome!

  • about fuckin adddddiction...

  • "This is a song about a guy called Julien. It's called Julien." :D ♥

  • horrible sound... the whole concert...

  • greatest song ever

  • nice song

  • my fav song from BFDTS °-°

  • Plcebo in the Philippines.

  • Awesome, Amazin stuff from the best group on the planet, Molko is a genius and so damn sexy xxx

  • i think he has some problems with singing at the beginning here... does anyone else see it? it looks like his throat just doesn't want to cooperate and he feels it what makes him stressed out and throat even more tense... poor brian ;(

  • @SkylarPro I think he was pushing his limits with this new way of singing, using his natural voice. on the album it works great though he is partly out of tune as he always used to be at times (I find that sexy anyway), live you just hear that this can get a little hard for him. I think he is an incredible frontman and real cool singer too but he can't go all places as easily as some (often boring) singers can. anyway, no one could ever take his place, he's doing his thing just like he should.

  • @eatingcandy sure, no one's denying brian's the best. even though the last album sucks big time.

  • @SkylarPro yeah, do you hate it? idk, first it was way too broad, stadium rock and explained for me (esp. the latter remains an issue for me at certain points) but by now I really like it. bright lights and speak in tongues still are too much for me lol but kitty litter I liked right away, just as come undone and by now I also really like most of the others.

  • @eatingcandy bright lights are too much for anyone with at least a bit of taste in music lol.and so is breathe underwater or ashtray heart.total pieces of shit, excuse my french.the only songs i respect from this album are julien, kings of medicine and, actually, speak in tongues.kitty litter is ok.the rest...god,help me.it's almost like pop music.it's so easy and cheap.placebo was always different, unique, not for everyone.i love all 5 albums to death.and i'll just pretend this one doesn't exist...

  • @SkylarPro lol well I like breathe underwater and ashtray heart I find kinda funny, don't have any major problem with it as I partly have with bright lights and speak in tongues.

imo they always did pop in ways. not exclusively of course and always with a twist but still. what I don't like too much about the new album is that very broad and clean thing about it. I actually do consider it as an example of very good song writing but as I said before, slightly too explained and slick for my taste.

  • @eatingcandy for me those songs are waaaay too easy and bright for placebo. placebo is dark, twisted as you said, difficult, full of double meanings in their lyrics, full of beautiful sadness and sentiment.i love the pure essence of placebo in, for example,'lady of the flowers', 'without you i'm nothing', 'special needs', 'I'll be yours' or 'in the cold light of morning', so i think you get why i hate things like ashtray heart, to me it's a disgrace to their music.

  • @SkylarPro oh I totally get why ashtray heart can be an annoying song for one, definitely. when you listen to the words though it's not exactly a bright tune.

I'm also more into the simple, cynical (and yet deeply romantic) songs of them, I love "I know", "days before you came"... definitely prefer dark stuff to bright one anyway. then again I find it vital that artists just let out what they got on their minds, sticking with sth for the sake of it wouldn't work anyway.

  • @eatingcandy i don't support lack of developing oneself and doing the exact same thing the whole time.but i'm sure you'll agree with me that each one of the 5 previous albums was in a way totally different from the rest, yet still managed to keep that 'something' that makes placebo so special.they are all amazing pieces of art to me.and BFTS is just... i don't even know what it is.i'm just really hoping the 7th one will be nothing like the 6th.

  • @SkylarPro lol no no, I didn't mean to say that of course xD

I don't necessarily consider the prior albums as that much better, they rather just happen to be my thing much more. I mean what you can relate to has to do with your personal preferences, it's a very subjective thing after all. I never liked every single song and/or way of them but I loved and love a lot of it of course and yes, I can relate much more to their darker periods too. well what can I say, I'm crossing my fingers for you!

  • @eatingcandy of course it's subjective, but if we were to take that under consideration we couldn't talk about art at all, could we?so,as my taste is mine and i consider it to be pretty good, plus i'm intersted in music in a very wide perspective, i listen to a lot of different thungs and read about it too as it just endlessly fascinates me, i dare say that the previous albums were much better.

  • @SkylarPro I'm just saying that imo this is no bad album or bad music. to me it's good song writing and a good piece of work. it however lacks a certain flavor which might be lost for good. which of course is fucking sad. still I find it hard to divide their albums into better and worse ones as I always loved certain songs and never had a clear fave album. but I do see the difference between this one and its predecessors and I guess I don't feel as strong, but similar about it as you do.

  • Wspaniała piosenka! Wspaniałe wykonanie! Wspaniały zespół!

    PLACEBO! :D <333

  • Its an amazing song, and they didn't play in Hungary :( Placebo always be the best for me :) There is no such beauty like Brian *.* Thanks for uploadin', this video rocks!!

  • I adore him so much!!! <3

    Thank god I´m a molkoholic ;O)

  • October 25 Paris Is already ready for Placebo !

  • Absolutely adore this song. One of the best Placebo songs to date. Fiddle was obnoxious in this live performance IMO, but I don't like fiddle much in general.

Trying to convince my boyfriend to let me name a son Julien someday. Can't tell him where it's from or he certainly won't agree!

  • so you re gonna marry your bf ? woot !

  • Molko, EAT ME!

  • one of the best four songs of the new great album

  • "one of the best four songs of the new great album"

I think it's hilarious you should say this. I seriously can't pick a favorite. I love Julien, Kings of Medicine, Devil in the Details and Kitty Litter. And Breathe Underwater. And pretty much everything. Bright Lights is the only one I skip past. Happy You're Gone is on the lower end of quality in this album, which is saying something because that song's good too!

  • No love for Never Ending Why ?

Kings Of Medicine = masterpiece, they better play it live next october here in Paris or I will Riot !

  • Never Ending Why was one of my favorites when I first got the album because I like the message a lot, but the sound of it is a bit poppier than I generally go for. I still love it, of course. :D

I'm going nuts with sadness because I can't go to any of the shows on this tour. They're not coming to Minnesota this time around, my boyfriend's aunt is getting married on the day of the Chicago show, and the Kansas City show got canceled randomly. And I don't have money to go any farther away. : (

  • NEW Is pop ? huh it's way more rock and deep than a lot of their former tracks.

If you ask me songs like Kitty Litter and Ashtray Heart are way more mainstream and pop than Never Ending Why :D

They're cancelling shows in the US cause they're relatively unknown there....Seems they're not pretty popular in their hometown of UK either...

France is the country where they've gotten their biggest success :p

You should come in Paris enjoying them :)

  • The fast, light beat of NEW is what makes it poppy for me. The song sounds somewhat similar to Drag, which is my least favorite song on Meds.

I think we have a different perception of what pop is. Kitty Litter to me is very not-pop. Ashtray Heart is poppy, though. But I like the sound of AH more than the sound of NEW. I don't like the shouting in Spanish, though. It makes me feel uncomfortable, haha.

The postponement of the North American tour during Brian's recovery will work in my favor.

  • To me something "poppy"' is something "easy going" , pretty easy to get into for the "mainstream" audience...And I do find NEW as "indie rock" or "alternative rock" while Kitty Litter sounds like your average Placebo mainstream song....It's the kind of track they have done a lot in the past....

NEW on the other hand offers something unique, the drums are pretty epic, dramatic and when you mix them with something as new for placebo as the trumpets, you have the best Placebo song since...EVER

  • And for me "pop" is a sound rather than a point of access. NEW isn't primarily pop, but elements of it are springy and poplike.

If we're looking for something Placebo hasn't really done before, I'd point to Bright Lights, which happens to be my least favorite song on the album.

I don't mind hearing the same style from Placebo because they do it in a different way every time. Kitty Litter is part of a set of dirty sex and noise music, but it's not the same as anything they've done in the past.

  • ok so kitty litter i dont like as much as the others... but i like bright lights... well for me this is their best album ever so...

  • best quality live so far and love the new album

  • great songg

    you are amazing,

  • I was there and it was AMAZING !!!

Yet to go Werchter, Pukkelpop & Sportpaleis ... I'll be there :-)
