@Dracoti You just need a tool, it can be pretty much anything that has a hard edge and is slim. Personally I used something really similar to a metal ruler. Then you can scrape thin layers of clay at the time, after a couple of passes you get an almost perfectly slick surface. You just have to make sure your clay is moist enough or it will create bumps and debris.
When you sculpted this, did you use a solid piece of clay? Or did you mold the clay around the stand that you have it resting on?

how do you make the clay so smooth and level? did you use alcohol at some stage? I have loads of small bumps and such :/
