FANTASTIC MOVIE!!! GO SEE IT!!! I watched it this past Tuesday, and it was just lovely, everything, the story, the filmography, the everything! Just see it!
the sad journey of love lost, and reconciliation to continue on with a stop over in a place known to most of us, self destruction, then the hooks back into life which is passion. The tension of passion here is palpable between the gay teacher, the bi student the Spanish hustler and the best of friends old girlfriend. This is the stuff of great story telling, in film or book.
I think the music is brilliant in its representation of the clock. when you lose someone, you feel that time is standing still... a second feels like an hour. it really emphasized that idea for me...well done. really want to see it. however, this trailer doesn't really say anything about the plot, so I don't blame anyone for being put off after watching it.
This movie was amazing and astonishing. I hope it wins Best Movie at the Oscars tonight. It deserves it way more than those other stupid films like The Blindside or Avatar or even UP..

I understand the Blindside had the "true story" aspect but it was made with such poor quality that I don't think it deserved best movie of the year. All in all I'm glad The Hurt Locker won.

This movie wasn't that good. I'm not gonna say it sucked, cause some of the visual scenes are nice. But overall it's just a bunch of images that do not connect well. It's kind of cliche of a indie film. Many scenes will flash you to mainstream movies like american beauty or la confidential.

I didn't know what to expect from this film after the trailers, then I saw it yesterday and my god the time went by running and I was so so amazed by it. It is a masterpiece of cinema, loved it. Do see this film. It's all genious, the dialogues, scneries, everithing. 5 stars

Colin Firth is my Best Actor pick this yr too. BAFTA's was so well deserved!! Tom Ford did amazingly with the images on this film, as they speak louder than words. Truly, a work of art. Feelings are poured out of them (images) making you feel under George Falconer's skin. It thought the mvie was short though, or went by too quickly...well perhaps that was the intentional idea @ end --- all it takes is to be alive...

Well it should have been, but I will take Precious instead. Is very moving, superbly acted, great historical background to the 1960's days of secret Gay life. I was interested in the scene where he comments on an alledeged anti-semitic book. His referencer to fear of minorities of any kind driven hate & persecution is very impressive. The waiting for him to choose to live or die was very tense and moving. The end is very beautiful, but sad too. He deserves that Oscar big time, great job.

This is really just about the best trailer ever. Though it tells me just about NOTHING of the storyline... though it does do a good job of showing enough that your interested and definitely curious without giving too much away.

Right now, poor Sparky the Fish is displaying more emotion than Nicholas Hoult did in two whole series of Skins."
Sure, he's good looking. He should realise where his talents lie and go for a modeling career, because he sure can't act.
I'll be watching this with an open mind with regards to Nicholas Hoult, being as this is probably the most challenging thing he's done so far, but I'm not holding my hopes up. I haven't seen any evidence of real acting ability in anything I've seen him in: Skins (first season only, I could bear to sit through any more), About a Boy, Coming Down the Mountain, you could have replaced him with a cutout in any of them and there'd be no difference.
Lee Pace plays a college professor co-worker of George (Colin Firth's character). He is only in the movie a few minutes where they walk through the college campus talking about the Cold War. The entire film is amazing. I have seen it three times and read the book it was based on.
A very good movie. Colin Firth did a great job. Even with out words you seen the sadness in his eyes. I think the movie (along with Colin) deserves a best screenplay Oscar nomomination
I saw this movie today and it was AMAZING....but I have to say that this trailer doesn't seem to fit the story. The trailer makes it seem very suspenseful, as if Firth's character is a psychopath or something.
We went with a group of friends the other night and it is a tough crowd and everyone really enjoyed the flick. Colin Firth is amazing and well done. I want to move in with Charlie and drink gin all day!
The art of great trailers is to provide intrigue and interest without giving anything away, spoiling scenes, or telling the whole story in two minutes. I think this does a great job of that - That's why I like it :)

Well it should have been, but I will take Precious instead. Is very moving, superbly acted, great historical background to the 1960's days of secret Gay life. I was interested in the scene where he comments on an alledeged anti-semitic book. His referencer to fear of minorities of any kind driven hate & persecution is very impressive. The waiting for him to choose to live or die was very tense and moving. The end is very beautiful, but sad too. He deserves that Oscar big time, great job.

This is really just about the best trailer ever. Though it tells me just about NOTHING of the storyline... though it does do a good job of showing enough that your interested and definitely curious without giving too much away.

i really do agree - this is a BRILLIANT trailer. just the fact that there is no dialouge or voice over makes it even better. i haven´t seen the film yet, but i´ve read the book (which i thought was fantastic).
btw - since when is nicholas hoult a bad actor?

My goldfish died last week, and when I saw it lying there, floating just beneath the water's surface, his glassy eye staring up at me from the rim of the fish bowl, I thought to myself: "You know what? Right now, poor Sparky the Fish is displaying more emotion than Nicholas Hoult did in two whole series of Skins."
Sure, he's good looking. He should realise where his talents lie and go for a modeling career, because he sure can't act.

I'll be watching this with an open mind with regards to Nicholas Hoult, being as this is probably the most challenging thing he's done so far, but I'm not holding my hopes up. I haven't seen any evidence of real acting ability in anything I've seen him in: Skins (first season only, I could bear to sit through any more), About a Boy, Coming Down the Mountain, you could have replaced him with a cutout in any of them and there'd be no difference.

Lee Pace plays a college professor co-worker of George (Colin Firth's character). He is only in the movie a few minutes where they walk through the college campus talking about the Cold War. The entire film is amazing. I have seen it three times and read the book it was based on.

A very good movie. Colin Firth did a great job. Even with out words you seen the sadness in his eyes. I think the movie (along with Colin) deserves a best screenplay Oscar nomomination

I saw this movie today and it was AMAZING....but I have to say that this trailer doesn't seem to fit the story. The trailer makes it seem very suspenseful, as if Firth's character is a psychopath or something.

We went with a group of friends the other night and it is a tough crowd and everyone really enjoyed the flick. Colin Firth is amazing and well done. I want to move in with Charlie and drink gin all day!

The art of great trailers is to provide intrigue and interest without giving anything away, spoiling scenes, or telling the whole story in two minutes. I think this does a great job of that - That's why I like it :)
