I appreciate this movie more and more every year. It exists on a level of cool that is immune from pretenders, the sort of people who would rather it have been a Fast and the Furious sequel. Only Michael Mann would consider to interrupt his crime drama for a vacation in Cuba, and have that be part of the draw of the movie and not a mere indulgence.

I wasn't expecting anything...and was really surprised! Strong performance's in a movie which mostly focused on the relationship's between the character's, really fast-paced and intelligent! Highly recommend.
Indeed, but she's dreadfully, unforgiveably wasted - an authentic screen goddess roped in so that Crockett can do it with a Chinese for a change (didn't he work his way to any of those nationalities in the TV series?). After a decade and half of terrific performances, how could Mann fob her off with such a cypher? But then he's not very good with female characters

I don't think there was necessarily anything wrong with the script. I think it could have done with a few ties to the series though. Maybe seeing Crockett's boat, his pet alligator. But other than that I thought it was a pretty solid film. It was more about the undercover nature of police work than anything else.

yup, shame the story was so basic but in that sense it keeps true to the original series. However i think a good script would have made it far better
