Several very good points made. Tires are a big factor, what's under the snow matters (like ice), and the driver too. Not sure I agree with the type of truck although I could be wrong. I'm thinking whether it has lockers or is heavier plays a part. Too many factors. I've pulled Fords out with my Chevy, I pulled Chevys out with my Ford. I was always pulling Dodges out with both. (just kidding about the last part)
i cant believe how many arguments are going on about this video! reversing a RWD truck in snow with no weight in the back is almost impossible even with winter tires regardless of what brand loyalty you're obsessing about (i drive a rwd sierra in canada... its hell)
@MrNotch9 i feel your pain! i up until last year I had a 2.2 RWD sonoma with some pretty tired tires. it was unbelievable, i couldnt even parallel park because it would just slide into the sidewalk (the streets where i worked were slanted outward for drainage purposes)

I love to see people rag on a ford. I AM A FORD LOVER! people that rag on fords don't know what they are talking about. and yes we DIDN'T NEED TO BE BAILED OUT! but i have seen many trucks get stuck in many conditions. it is all about the tires and the driver. i have pulled dodges out and dodges have pulled me out. i had a chevy 1500 lifted 6 inches and could still get that stuck. its all about how you hit it.
seen plenty of dodges stuck in less and definately blown around my fair share of chevs in the snow... go around them in the deeper snow to pull them out haha ford f350 with 285s pulled three chevs out in a day at a fishing derby all stuck in a line... damn where was my camera haha
Amen to the high rated comments, and yeah he's probably got the factory Continental NO tread tires on it or whatever, And quite frankly doesn't know how to drive.
@MPLSTORM We obviously have 2 different opinions on Fords and everything else. But, this is a Ford video. Dude I've had my ford ranger 4x4 3.0L in more than 2 feet of snow and STILL did not get stuck. get those goodyear fortera triple tread tires, you WILL NOT be disappointed.
i saw a video labled " This is what happens when you buy fords" fords have nothing to do with it he disabled comments and ratings becuase it has nothing to do with the truck in my ice towtrucking job we al use fords its the driver and the traction
you cant judge a vehicle by the idiot driving it but you can do some online research and look at the numbers and call back numbers and the BIG 3 beat out everyone.
This video is a complete bunch of fake bullshit. There is no way that a FX4 or even a stock 4x4 ANYTHING could get stuck in that. There had to be something go completely wrong.
@34celticpride Funny my ford has no issues going through shit like that... Awful funny my ford will go through more then any Chevrolet. Its even funnier how a stock 1500 Z71 doesn't set up as high as a stock FX4 Ford, nor do the rims match. The Chevy used in 04 16" Rim's, Ford had 18's. Much better suspension. Each year Chebby and Dodge try and fail at making a good solid truck.
@34celticpride I worked in a dealership. You'd be surprised at the shit we had come in. We had people with chevys putting ford stickers over the steering wheel. We had a guy who had stickers for a Z71 taken off, and and it had FX4 Off Road on it, which is ass backwards, and an insult to Ford. People can put 4x4 or FX4 stickers on a 2WD... FX2 Sports are 2WD as well. Either way a 2WD ford sets up like a 4x4 chebby... still this video is bs. Even a 2WD could of gotten out.
@lizard2006 k well im really doughing this guy put a 4x4 sticker on there n tryed to drive threw snow,like see your in denial,my Duramax,and Blazer would truck striaght threw that...its not entirely the trrucks fault,theres a fucking monkey driving it
@34celticpride Duramax is a pile of garbage. Worst damn motor ever put into the USA. Its a gook motor designed for GM by gooks. GM can't even design their own motor. They gotta use Izusu's garbage motor. And the big Chevy guys that love chevy so much eat it up. Besides just motors, Ford has the BEST off road package out there. The best suspension out there. I can put a back hole on ur duramax with a trailer, and it'd squat like no other, let me put the same on my Ford, and it'd barely budge it.
@lizard2006 why you hatin on chevy? i am more of a gm guy because i think ford needs to modernize. i mean the 2010 ford mustang still has a straight axle in the rear. and the base model only has 210ph. while the base model of the 2010 camaro is 305ph.
@DickotheClown First of all the 2011 Mustang which is out is not a straight rear axle, nor does the base model have 210 HP. Its 305 HP with a V6, and the 5.0 puts out 412 HP and thats just a GT there is always loads of other options. The 6.7L Powerstroke out performs duramax, returns better ride, HP, and torque rating. The camaro is garbage because its so modernized
@34celticpride That one doesn't even have limited slip. Its a 4x4 probably a 4.6L Triton V8, may even be a 4.2L V6, either way its a base model 4x4, and it would not have limited slip. It has the base rims on it to. Those rims are BAREBONE, Its a XL Ford F150 the only thing lower then an XL Ford F150 is a Ford F150 STX.. It probably doesn't even have power windows. My Ford would go through that easily. Blazer is a hunk of shit. I work with Duramax's all day they are shitty at pulling./
@34celticpride Its good to know even if it is a 4x4. Thats just it its a 4X4. Base. It probably has a 3.40 Rear Diff, no limited slip. The FX4 has limited slip rear axle, and the front end is beefed up a lot more. No way my FX4 would of gotten stuck.
need to buy some winter tires n full locks. cuz i bet anything only 2 tires were spinning at the time. and my bet was the back. or the side it was stuck in. full locks winter studded tires all around. nothing can stop her.
@tsblair95 Ford lasts way longer than Chrysler/Dodge. My dad has a 1986 Ford Bronco that runs perfectly, which is more than I can say about my mom's 2005 Chrysler Pacifica or the 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 she had before that. I have had no problems with any Ford, but all the Dodges have needed transmissions replaced at around 90,000 miles. Plus, Ford is the only American run car company left. You might say GM, but that is Government Motors and Dodge is run by foreigners. Just stating facts here.
Your comment about Dodges needing transmissions at around 90,000 miles is completely true for most of their vehicles. My dad owns a transmission shop and most of the Dodges that come in for rebuilds have around 90,000. Fords tend to go a lot longer.
@blindskater200 False, I have several Dodge with over 200K same tranny. The thing with Ford is they have the same damn tranny, same with Chevy, but Dodge has the most power so you have to be careful. BUT Ford is a cheap all around truck that faces 100 times more problems and issues than Dodge, trust me Im a Ford owner.
What are you saying about Ford having the same transmission and Chevy too? You saying they all have the same trannys or all their vehicles have the same tranny? I don't understand what you're trying to tell me.
@blindskater200 all three brands transmissions imitate eachothers, Dodge has the most power, Ford has the least and is the most piece of shit truck out there.
Oh yeah Ford is such a piece of shit when the F150 has been the best selling truck for the past 30 years. And their transmissions don't imitate each other, I fucking KNOW that. Maybe they are similar in some aspects but in no way are they the same transmissions.
I see all the people commenting on your channel saying how you're trolling Ford videos and bashing them. You're nothing but a little bitch ass fanboy whose father raised you on Dodge. I bet you're a little 12 year old kid who has no clue what the fuck they're talking about. I KNOW what I'm talkin about. Look at my vids, I've got 2 Fords and on my truck back glass it say "Larry's Transmissions" and the number to my dads shop on it. Oh and what diesel motor goes in Dodge? Cummins.
@blindskater200 Your a joke dude, look at your name...skater? your the little 12 year old pussy bitch. Listen son, If you do own Ford products you already know how cheap they are. I hope their new diesel stands up because my Powerchokes are done, literally done. I would LOVE to see one of my Fords go past my Dodges in mileage, I would love to see that day. My Dodge just the other day had to repair the Cummins nothing else, stock tranny, stock everything, 500K on it back and forth from alaska.
Dude you're lying out of your ass. No transmission is gonna last 5 hundred thousand miles without a repair or rebuild. I'm done arguing with you because you're quite honestly a stupid ass little liar. My dad has been working on vehicles for over 30 years and I myself have been helping him at his transmission shop for the past 8 years and I have ever seen ANY transmission last as long as you're saying yours lasted. 500K just isn't gonna happen.
@blindskater200 Obviously people don't like to hear their precious Fords being talked down upon, but us Ford owners know the bullshit we deal with. See I have the leg up because I own all three brands. Most people dont, and haven't ever owned and driven all three trucks. I will tell you this GM sells the most trucks, period and is all around better than Ford. Ford is the cheapest shit ever, EVER! ball joints, electrical, fuckin powerchoke, driveshaft, you name it, and Dodge is just solid.
Oh and I have over 400k on my F150 and I have no problems with it and it's an '84. I'm not gonna comment on the tranny or motor since we built both of them up and it wouldn't be fair, but I have no problems with anything else that's all stock on it. Ball joints are fine, what little electrical shit it has is fine, and my driveshaft is obviously in working condition. My truck used to be an Arkla gas truck for Little Rock Arkansas, work trucks ALWAYS get worked hard, mines still going.
@blindskater200 Good for you, and even better to hear a Ford last that long. I would say Ford trucks in the 80s and previous models were good but 90s and newer are junk.
And ya know who owns Cummins? Ford does. So quit trolling Ford videos and bashing on them. Go to your precious Dodge videos and wack off too them and fuck off because I'm tired of arguing with someone as idiotic as you.
@blindskater200 I absolutely can't stand when people say Ford owns Cummins, you think if Ford owned Cummins they'd be using another fucking diesel?!?!? fucking idtiot!!! They used to own 1/10th of Cummins, did you read that? 1/10th, and that was 10 years ago. Fuckin dipshit.
@blindskater200 A Dodge would have made it through in 2 wheel drive...LOL fuckin Ford is worthless....the only reason they sell so many god damn trucks is because theyre so god damn CHEAP and they're available everywhere, shit thats why I bought my Fords. I learned my lesson thats forsure. Fuck ford.
@MPLSTORM im sure it wouldnt seeing of traction. ive seen dodges chevys and ford all get stuck in wet grass. the power and tq have nothing to do with any of it. Oh and by the way chevy is way cheaper than ford. if you havent noticed chevy is all plastic alot of ford is cloth leather and a little bit of plastic just like dodge wich is priced just about the same. So do your homework before you go around cusing on videos where if all others were in the same situation they would be doing the same.
i drove through 2 ft. of snow in a stock f150 shown in my videos. i drove thru, stopped, picked up our snow thrower, then drove thru it again, didnt even breathe hard. just gotta know how to drive in certain situations and always use 4wd.
yup, blame the driver. i am 25 and live in erie PA where we get about 140inches of snow per year and i have never had 4wd. i have had 8 vehicles all rear wheel drive except 1 and i have never gotten stuck in the snow. 78f150, 86 chevy C-10, 89 firebird(yes i drove it for 2 years, snow and summer), 96 trans am(never saw snow truthfully), 04 f150 V6 with snow tires in rear, 08 V6 f150 all seasons. never had studded snows.
@timmypstyle EDIT: sorry, i HAVE been stuck, but never needed help getting out. always got out on my own. if you want 2wd and it snows where you live, try getting a manual tranny, much easier to get out of being stuck. and 4wd manuals would probably never get stuck longer than 30 seconds.
every one needs to stop to think the gear ratio makes a big difference to. i had a 2000 f150 4x4 and if we got like 2 inch of snow i had 2 put it in 4 just to back out or my drive way. but when i sold that and got a 1990 f150 2wd in went a foot of easy
wow i have the same truck and i could have gotten out of that snow in 2 wheel drive, dont diss the truck its the shity driver. this guy should be driving a jeep not a truck because we obviously does not know how to drive a pickup
excuse me? i own a road side asst company. i have the strobes in my explorer for that purpas. YOU just are mad that i pull out more toyotas and nissan trucks, than i do chevy, dodge, or most importantly FORD! FUCK JAP TRUCKS!
As i just plainly stated,It depends on tires,driver,conditions,etc..And you know why you pull out so many more Jap trucks than domestic?Because people know the domestics will break if you try to do anything with them.LMAO.
its all about the angle. i cant even make it up my driveway without a running start and its less than a 3% grade. it doesnt matter make or model. stock vehicles SUCK in snow. you need atleast a 4" lift and 35s, a posi or a locker. then it starts making a difference
no, some 4WD arent more than a foot off the ground from ground to frame. and even then the differentials are less than that. even with just a good set of tires, you need clearance as well, as stated "less than a foot of snow" if your vehicle is "less than a foot" off the ground, you wont be going anywhere.
@71highboy Having weight helps A LOT! I have a six inch lift in my 1 ton Duramax and with the Allison transmission it already had a factory lift. I always put a steel Gem Top canopy on my new trucks. I also have an ultra heavy duty rear bumper and at least a 12,000 pound REAR winch. My GMC does VERY VERY good in packed snow. An empty truck is dangerous on slippery roads.
I tell this to people every single day and nobody believes me, everyone goes out and buys a big truck and thinks they can go climb a mountain well sorry to break to you but you cant. The first thing that i do when i get a truck is that brand new tires are put on all my trucks have big ass mud tires and we live in wisconsin and have newver had any problem with them and even had to pull a loaded semi with the tanker full of gas.
why do ppl hate on ford so much? they are ALL good trucks!! and any car will last long if you take care of it. so quit with this horseshit about which brand is better cuz their all reliable to an extent
i am a proud f150 owner and i like chevys to!dont know why everyone has to hate on AMERICAN models there both good!but of coarse ur Ford/chevy has to better than the guy standin beside u! u cant just have a nice truck anymore cause if its got the wrong logo its hated!
just because it got stuck doesnt make it a bad truck infact when plowing i find the deeper the snow to a certian point easier to drive in than say and inch or two. little bits of snow make it alot easeir to spin out in i think but thats just me personaly
The tires they put stock on these trucks are horrible. No full sized truck should have all season tires, they need all terrains, thats the only real fuck up I see from Ford. I solved that on mine though, 20" wheels with 33" Toyo M/Ts, not getting stuck now
ever heard of a shovel? ive had my cutlass supreme stuck in 4 feet of snow and it crawled out after a little bit of digging, but a cutlass supreme is more of a truck than any ford is. hahaha
@mojorumtum huh, my '84 Ford, 300 I6, and some cheap ass Kumos 31X10.5 has never had a problem like this! I don't know, I have had to pull quite a few of the new Fords out of the ditch. I don't know WTF they did to the newer Fords, but they cannot hold a candle to the older ones!
@kc8ntp does yours happen to be a 2wd? it also depends on the rear end, and most people nowadays don't get the good rear end on their trucks (I have it on both my F-150s). plus, the new trucks come with road tires unless you get a 4X4.
all I know is that for the life of me I can't get my '08 F-150 2wd stuck. I take it everywhere I take my '87 F-250 4X4.
@supersnot4 No, my '84 is a 4x4, open diffs (w/3.08:1 gears) front and rear, granny low 4-speed, and a 300 I6 engine. This truck is about as basic as they come for an '84. It is about to get a 260 Comp cam, headers, a 4-barrel intake, with a 390 Holley 4-bbl. Plus, I am going to put a posi unit in the rear out of an Explorer. I may consider a Power-Trax for the front, in the future. The way it is off-road right now, I can only imagine what it will be like when I get it all together!
This video is a complete bunch of fake bullshit. There is no way that a FX4 or even a stock 4x4 ANYTHING could get stuck in that. There had to be something go completely wrong.
lizard2006 1 year ago
@lizard2006 its a ford....
34celticpride 1 year ago
@34celticpride Funny my ford has no issues going through shit like that... Awful funny my ford will go through more then any Chevrolet. Its even funnier how a stock 1500 Z71 doesn't set up as high as a stock FX4 Ford, nor do the rims match. The Chevy used in 04 16" Rim's, Ford had 18's. Much better suspension. Each year Chebby and Dodge try and fail at making a good solid truck.
lizard2006 1 year ago
cmon guys its a 4x2 work truck. would be different if it was 4x4. would happen to any 4x2 truck in offradsnow. calm down with the stupid comments

@turbonegro1120 cmon,open your eyes,theres a 4x4 sticker on the back
34celticpride 1 year ago
@34celticpride I worked in a dealership. You'd be surprised at the shit we had come in. We had people with chevys putting ford stickers over the steering wheel. We had a guy who had stickers for a Z71 taken off, and and it had FX4 Off Road on it, which is ass backwards, and an insult to Ford. People can put 4x4 or FX4 stickers on a 2WD... FX2 Sports are 2WD as well. Either way a 2WD ford sets up like a 4x4 chebby... still this video is bs. Even a 2WD could of gotten out.
lizard2006 1 year ago
@lizard2006 k well im really doughing this guy put a 4x4 sticker on there n tryed to drive threw snow,like see your in denial,my Duramax,and Blazer would truck striaght threw that...its not entirely the trrucks fault,theres a fucking monkey driving it
34celticpride 1 year ago
@34celticpride Duramax is a pile of garbage. Worst damn motor ever put into the USA. Its a gook motor designed for GM by gooks. GM can't even design their own motor. They gotta use Izusu's garbage motor. And the big Chevy guys that love chevy so much eat it up. Besides just motors, Ford has the BEST off road package out there. The best suspension out there. I can put a back hole on ur duramax with a trailer, and it'd squat like no other, let me put the same on my Ford, and it'd barely budge it.
lizard2006 1 year ago
@lizard2006 Thats YOUR opinion,buts its funny how the dmax 3500 has more torque than an f550
34celticpride 1 year ago
@34celticpride The DMAX doesn't touch Fords new 6.7L in torque. An F250 with the 6.7L will out perform Duramax in Power, Torque, and Fuel Mileage.
lizard2006 1 year ago
@lizard2006 why you hatin on chevy? i am more of a gm guy because i think ford needs to modernize. i mean the 2010 ford mustang still has a straight axle in the rear. and the base model only has 210ph. while the base model of the 2010 camaro is 305ph.
DickotheClown 1 year ago
@DickotheClown First of all the 2011 Mustang which is out is not a straight rear axle, nor does the base model have 210 HP. Its 305 HP with a V6, and the 5.0 puts out 412 HP and thats just a GT there is always loads of other options. The 6.7L Powerstroke out performs duramax, returns better ride, HP, and torque rating. The camaro is garbage because its so modernized
lizard2006 1 year ago
@34celticpride Its a base model 4x4. Its not a FX4. A FX4 has lock diff.
lizard2006 1 year ago
@lizard2006 not a locked diff,limited slip
34celticpride 1 year ago
@34celticpride That one doesn't even have limited slip. Its a 4x4 probably a 4.6L Triton V8, may even be a 4.2L V6, either way its a base model 4x4, and it would not have limited slip. It has the base rims on it to. Those rims are BAREBONE, Its a XL Ford F150 the only thing lower then an XL Ford F150 is a Ford F150 STX.. It probably doesn't even have power windows. My Ford would go through that easily. Blazer is a hunk of shit. I work with Duramax's all day they are shitty at pulling./
lizard2006 1 year ago
@34celticpride Its good to know even if it is a 4x4. Thats just it its a 4X4. Base. It probably has a 3.40 Rear Diff, no limited slip. The FX4 has limited slip rear axle, and the front end is beefed up a lot more. No way my FX4 would of gotten stuck.
lizard2006 1 year ago
Couldn't possibly be poor tires, could it? Cause even with slicks a chevy could easily drive through 3ft of snow. Sure.

Just stating facts here.
fishsniper10 1 year ago
@fishsniper10
Your comment about Dodges needing transmissions at around 90,000 miles is completely true for most of their vehicles. My dad owns a transmission shop and most of the Dodges that come in for rebuilds have around 90,000. Fords tend to go a lot longer.
blindskater200 1 year ago 2
@blindskater200 False, I have several Dodge with over 200K same tranny. The thing with Ford is they have the same damn tranny, same with Chevy, but Dodge has the most power so you have to be careful. BUT Ford is a cheap all around truck that faces 100 times more problems and issues than Dodge, trust me Im a Ford owner.
MPLSTORM 1 year ago
What are you saying about Ford having the same transmission and Chevy too? You saying they all have the same trannys or all their vehicles have the same tranny? I don't understand what you're trying to tell me.
blindskater200 1 year ago
@blindskater200 all three brands transmissions imitate eachothers, Dodge has the most power, Ford has the least and is the most piece of shit truck out there.
MPLSTORM 1 year ago
@MPLSTORM
Oh yeah Ford is such a piece of shit when the F150 has been the best selling truck for the past 30 years. And their transmissions don't imitate each other, I fucking KNOW that. Maybe they are similar in some aspects but in no way are they the same transmissions.
blindskater200 1 year ago
@MPLSTORM
Cummins.
blindskater200 1 year ago
@blindskater200 Your a joke dude, look at your name...skater? your the little 12 year old pussy bitch. Listen son, If you do own Ford products you already know how cheap they are. I hope their new diesel stands up because my Powerchokes are done, literally done. I would LOVE to see one of my Fords go past my Dodges in mileage, I would love to see that day. My Dodge just the other day had to repair the Cummins nothing else, stock tranny, stock everything, 500K on it back and forth from alaska.
MPLSTORM 1 year ago
@MPLSTORM
500K just isn't gonna happen.
blindskater200 1 year ago
@blindskater200 Yes, its a manual dipshit and it hasn't had any work on it yet.
MPLSTORM 1 year ago
@blindskater200 Obviously people don't like to hear their precious Fords being talked down upon, but us Ford owners know the bullshit we deal with. See I have the leg up because I own all three brands. Most people dont, and haven't ever owned and driven all three trucks. I will tell you this GM sells the most trucks, period and is all around better than Ford. Ford is the cheapest shit ever, EVER! ball joints, electrical, fuckin powerchoke, driveshaft, you name it, and Dodge is just solid.
MPLSTORM 1 year ago
@MPLSTORM
My truck used to be an Arkla gas truck for Little Rock Arkansas, work trucks ALWAYS get worked hard, mines still going.
blindskater200 1 year ago
@blindskater200 Good for you, and even better to hear a Ford last that long. I would say Ford trucks in the 80s and previous models were good but 90s and newer are junk.
MPLSTORM 1 year ago
@MPLSTORM
And ya know who owns Cummins? Ford does. So quit trolling Ford videos and bashing on them. Go to your precious Dodge videos and wack off too them and fuck off because I'm tired of arguing with someone as idiotic as you.
blindskater200 1 year ago
@blindskater200 I absolutely can't stand when people say Ford owns Cummins, you think if Ford owned Cummins they'd be using another fucking diesel?!?!? fucking idtiot!!! They used to own 1/10th of Cummins, did you read that? 1/10th, and that was 10 years ago. Fuckin dipshit.
MPLSTORM 1 year ago
@blindskater200 A Dodge would have made it through in 2 wheel drive...LOL fuckin Ford is worthless....the only reason they sell so many god damn trucks is because theyre so god damn CHEAP and they're available everywhere, shit thats why I bought my Fords. I learned my lesson thats forsure. Fuck ford.
MPLSTORM 1 year ago
@MPLSTORM im sure it wouldnt seeing of traction. ive seen dodges chevys and ford all get stuck in wet grass. the power and tq have nothing to do with any of it. Oh and by the way chevy is way cheaper than ford. if you havent noticed chevy is all plastic alot of ford is cloth leather and a little bit of plastic just like dodge wich is priced just about the same. So do your homework before you go around cusing on videos where if all others were in the same situation they would be doing the same.
twfish2013 1 year ago
@MPLSTORM

NissanTy 1 year ago
yup, blame the driver. i am 25 and live in erie PA where we get about 140inches of snow per year and i have never had 4wd. i have had 8 vehicles all rear wheel drive except 1 and i have never gotten stuck in the snow. 78f150, 86 chevy C-10, 89 firebird(yes i drove it for 2 years, snow and summer), 96 trans am(never saw snow truthfully), 04 f150 V6 with snow tires in rear, 08 V6 f150 all seasons. never had studded snows.
timmypstyle 1 year ago
@timmypstyle EDIT: sorry, i HAVE been stuck, but never needed help getting out. always got out on my own. if you want 2wd and it snows where you live, try getting a manual tranny, much easier to get out of being stuck. and 4wd manuals would probably never get stuck longer than 30 seconds.

its all about the angle. i cant even make it up my driveway without a running start and its less than a 3% grade. it doesnt matter make or model. stock vehicles SUCK in snow. you need atleast a 4" lift and 35s, a posi or a locker. then it starts making a difference
71highboy 2 years ago
you're an idiot....4wd and a good set of tires is all you need...a lift is only beneficial for ground clearance
xjustxgoxdiex 2 years ago
no, some 4WD arent more than a foot off the ground from ground to frame. and even then the differentials are less than that. even with just a good set of tires, you need clearance as well, as stated "less than a foot of snow" if your vehicle is "less than a foot" off the ground, you wont be going anywhere.
71highboy 2 years ago
@71highboy Having weight helps A LOT! I have a six inch lift in my 1 ton Duramax and with the Allison transmission it already had a factory lift. I always put a steel Gem Top canopy on my new trucks. I also have an ultra heavy duty rear bumper and at least a 12,000 pound REAR winch. My GMC does VERY VERY good in packed snow. An empty truck is dangerous on slippery roads.
3Mudbone1 1 year ago
I tell this to people every single day and nobody believes me, everyone goes out and buys a big truck and thinks they can go climb a mountain well sorry to break to you but you cant. The first thing that i do when i get a truck is that brand new tires are put on all my trucks have big ass mud tires and we live in wisconsin and have newver had any problem with them and even had to pull a loaded semi with the tanker full of gas.

The tires they put stock on these trucks are horrible. No full sized truck should have all season tires, they need all terrains, thats the only real fuck up I see from Ford. I solved that on mine though, 20" wheels with 33" Toyo M/Ts, not getting stuck now

kc8ntp 1 year ago
@kc8ntp does yours happen to be a 2wd? it also depends on the rear end, and most people nowadays don't get the good rear end on their trucks (I have it on both my F-150s). plus, the new trucks come with road tires unless you get a 4X4.
all I know is that for the life of me I can't get my '08 F-150 2wd stuck. I take it everywhere I take my '87 F-250 4X4.
supersnot4 1 year ago
@supersnot4 No, my '84 is a 4x4, open diffs (w/3.08:1 gears) front and rear, granny low 4-speed, and a 300 I6 engine. This truck is about as basic as they come for an '84. It is about to get a 260 Comp cam, headers, a 4-barrel intake, with a 390 Holley 4-bbl. Plus, I am going to put a posi unit in the rear out of an Explorer. I may consider a Power-Trax for the front, in the future. The way it is off-road right now, I can only imagine what it will be like when I get it all together!
