  • @thinkingforward i got a private school so am i going to be a loner when i go to a new school next year thats public middle school??

  • @LoverMusicForever You may not have very many friends at first. But, if you smile and say hi to people in your classes you will have people who want to be friends with you. Also, look for clubs at the school that you can join. You will meet people this way. If you like band or acting, those two classes have a large group of people who like to hangout together, which would give you a great group of friends. Let me know if you have more questions. Best, Joe Bruzzese

  • I'm in Australia and I'm starting year 8 in high/middle school. I'm going to a school for musically talented children and I don't know any1 I have different interests and I'm scared that I'll get left out. Im also used to having one teacher and class and middle school is different please get back to me

  • @TheMacoLion First, congratulations! It takes great courage to join a new school and meet new people. Second, you're not the only one who will be new. Be yourself and look for people who enjoy the things you do. Finally, smile and say hi. You will be surprised by the people you meet. Let me know how you are doing. Best, Joe Bruzzese

  • Hmmmm middle school kinda sucks. They said all th stuff they expect and my jaw dropped. I found everything tho and wasn't late once!

  • @19eminem1998 it will get better. Friends are what it is all about. Great to hear you found everything. Good luck to you this year. Let me know if you need anything. Best, Joe Bruzzese

  • My middle school is from 7th to 8 th & I'm heck nervous. I know after a week I'll be saying

" oh that wasn't so bad what was I worrying about?" but can't control it :O & I have one if the meanest teachers for my computer elective class . . I know it's just for one term but last year I had a mean math teacher in elementary school for three months. But felt like 2 yrs!! Any help?? :/

  • @9musicluverxo you're right, after a week you will be thinking, "oh that wasn't so bad." Right now though your worried, which could also mean you're excited. It's the not knowing what will happen that can either worry you or get you excited for what is to come. Your mean teacher is now your favorite teacher. Every teacher expects something. Find out what the expectations are for this teacher and then do everything you can to meet them. Let me know how you are doing. Best, Joe Bruzzese

  • i dont need allot of friends all i need are my fighting techniks and street smarts so i dont need a group of kids against bullys

  • @Tech19571 I'm not familiar with Lamar middle school, but I just looked at the web site. I will contact your school's PTA to find out about coming to speak. Thanks for leaving your comment. Best, Joe Bruzzese

  • K thank you

  • Joe, I'm going to middle school on august 31st. My middle school starts at seventh grade. So I have some friends a grade ahead of me who want to hang out with me when I get up there. But I wanted to hang out with my friends I already have. What should I do?

  • @19eminem1998 there's no reason why you can't do both! Remember that after this year though your 8th grade friends will be gone. You will have classes with people in 7th grade and will be able to talk with the friends you already have and then spend time after school with your older friends. What's important is that you keep talking with all of your friends so nobody feels like you are leaving them out. Let me know how it's going. Best, Joe Bruzzese

  • @thinkingforward i guess that will work. but one last thing, im older than my whole class by a year because i stayed back in kindergarten. so icant do all the things they can. such as day camp where all my friends r going. the age limit is 12. is there a way i can hang out with them more?

  • @19eminem1998 sounds like a great opportunity to have them over for a sleepover or a night out at the movies. Think of places you can go outside of the school day or now during the summer that are not controlled by age. Swimming pools, parks, the movie theater, etc. Feel free to ask questions any time you get stuck. Best, Joe Bruzzese

  • hey joe

i am very tall and going to middle school

    :p

  • @SkateboarderXD1 Can't wait to hear how your first day goes. Let me know. Best, Joe Bruzzese

  • @beautybabe1818 your teachers will be some of the most amazing people you will meet. Show them you care about being in their class and what's important to them and they will do the same for you. Keep me posted. As for your phone, every school is different. You might want to check the school web site or student handbook. Best, Joe Bruzzese

  • @tootsiestar83 Let me know how it goes. Stop back by and watch the video again the week before school starts. Best, Joe Bruzzese
