  • I think one thing that should be added to his AWAREness experiment is a video camera so that OBErs can say what they saw and the video can be played back. I think the signs are good, but perhaps video would be better.

  • 62 doh, i was hoping for a few hundred, lol, well the holly grail will be someone coming back with accurate details of the pictures , if nasa goverment funding can send spacecraft like curiosity to mars then surely all our countries involved in the aware project can afford this,BUT then again how will we ...the general public beleive these results didnt infact proove most survivorsseen these pictures ,we can only take awares word for it ,call me paranoid lol ,

  • ok so hasanyone veryfieudiesd any of the hanging shelf pictures in the pilot st

  • @MrCooker68 i read an article updated yesterday. no mention of the pictures but he said of hundreds of nde in the 3 year research, 62 gave very close and accurate details of their surroundings after death. they are now hoping to get more funding and do even closer research into the nde.

  • my video stopped at 1:32:53 anyone else have that problem?

  • Noory is a terrible interviewer. Instead of asking Parnia about the study, it's methodology, the researchers involved, etc. Noory seems more interested in questions about the devil and other "spooky" topics. He's such a putz

  • George Noory is so good at what he does. He let's the person speak without interrupting them. He only chimes in when he thinks perhaps the audience needs more explanation. He's always very respectful and understanding. It's always a pleasure to listen to him interview people.

  • How do you complete medical school at the age of 22? is it a community college lol

  • @Vitam1nWat3r

    Hey Vitam 1 nWat3r!

Do you know how to do anything besides throw rocks at people who are more valuable to society than you are?

  • @tommytomted44 Your fucking retarded. You don't even know me buddy.

  • @tommytomted44 and for the record. i throw rocks at useless people....similar to yourself.

  • They're only a few months into this study, conclusive research is not yet available, peer review process has not yet occurred and much evidence needs to come in before he comes to any conclusions, either way. Most scientists won't even talk about their research until it's published. All the interviews and public exposure make me suspect of Parnia's motives and objectivity

  • An update from croydon hospital:

“We have had a number of people who suggested they have experienced something, but we have not had anyone who has seen the picture that is facing the ceiling. "

guess that is the end of it folks, bummer, I was hoping this study would come to a different conclusion

  • @Papercut150

Actually, there is no conclusion yet. If you reread the article from the Croydon Hospital, they state people remembered their surroundings, etc. but no pictures were seen. Dr. Parnia has not given any final answer to this. The results wont be out for another year or so.

The interesting thing is, these people might not see any of the pictures but are probably accurately seeing their surrounding areas (doctors, what they are wearing, etc. ) its too soon to reach any conclusions.

  • @mounthydra

Thanks for clearing the air a bit. Do you know if the study will have ways of providing verification of the subjects OBE's? Such as cameras, microphones ect....

  • Not sure. Cameras are a fantastic idea to pinpoint every single event that takes place in the OR (A great way to match with the patients' testimony). I doubt their are any cameras because of ethical, legal reasons. My guess is people will probably not see any pictures because: The pictures are way too close to the ceiling (probably a few inches, even a levitating live person cant see it) OR it will be similar to Van lommel study with people accurately reporting their surrounding areas.

  • @mounthydra i say when the patient dies the doctors should say certain words or numbers. that way the experiencer if they could hear things is bound to not miss it.

  • @mounthydra all i know is if there is an after life it would definitely be a life changing experience. at the moment i plan on being an economist/scientist but if the after life is real i'll be so happy that i'd become a priest or professor of theology instead. i'm sure these results will impact your life too.

  • @Papercut150 actually if you watch a video by dr charles tart on youtube he conducted experiments some as early as the 60's, he would write a 5 digit number and plant it the same way much as dr sam parnia is doing and on multiple occasions the patients successfully memorised the numbers written near the ceiling. the reason parnia's might fail is he doesn't tell patients in advance what to look for. i don't think pictures on ceilings is the best approach i think he should call words.

  • I really like these shows on youtube...they are very good and they make me listen to coast to coast even more!!

  • Thanks for this great upload!

  • Thank you for the upload. Fascinating subject!

  • Thank you for the great upload it's nice to have the show as one part rather than 14parts etc, and finally a conversation with someone with a non-biased opinion on either side of the subject they are interested in.

  • Excellent vid!

  • From 50:08 to 51:41 Dr. Parnia addresses Noory's proposition that death might be "being in a dream state for all eternity." Dr. Parnia doesn't categorically reject Noory's theory and seems to be opened to exploring that possibility when technology, or the means for examination, become available. But I ask, are people who are clinically dead and experience an NDE, float above their bodies and gain knowledge of their surroundings by watching others work on them, dreaming?

  • @shysterlicious , if what Noory says is real then the implications are beyond astonishing, it would mean that everything is a dream, it's just incredible it goes into the deepest foundations of reality itself. My opinion is that death is just a release of the consciousness previosly caught into a limited reality, sort of an expansion...

  • @shysterlicious Thats a horrifying prospect

  • its always refreshing to listen to sam on this subject, most of the videos uploaded on here about n,d,e,s are mostly put up by right wing christian groups so its good to hear the medical take on this subject.

  • I enjoyed the interview very much mainly because Dr. Parnia remains very conservative and neutral in answering the questions. It was very interesting for him to state that mind/consciousness could continue within an hour or 2 after cardiac arrest.

I also respect his skepticism towards the Swiss OBE experiment with the virtual reality goggles. Of course some parts of the brain can be responsible for not receiving input in "locating ones body in space", however, doesnt mean it applies to NDE/OBE

  • @mounthydra He also says that 1:24:50-> "when we die (clinical death) consciousness doesn't seem to stop existing...., EVEN THOUGH THE BRAIN DOESN'T WORK!"
