Great interview. I guided Greg to Fordlandia where I still have relatives living in. Someone asked for funds from Ford Foundation to restore the buildings and the answer was? We don`t pay tribute to errors. Great book!
He, as I see it was a lifestyleditator. Forcing his own point of views on health and lifestyle upon others who on their hand was not asked. The workelite where entirely recruited among americans who had no knowlegde about the people living there and especialy about their coulture, which ofcourse resulted in an uprise later own.
It shows that one should not mess with the freedom of others
Even Henry Ford realized how essential the health and providing preventive care to the residents of his Amazon society was even in his capitalistic view.
Look I understand your argument, but there is no arguing that the land was purchased, even if it was at a cutthroat price, just read the book and you will see.
O brave new world!

That's your assertion, not mine, as that's not what I said.

The land was purchased by the ford motor company from the nation of Brazil for 125,000 1920's dollars. They never took land from anyone.
