Very nice, you know back in the 1800`s they ran the telegraph on earth batteries, totally free energy. They found earth batteries in series can give any power and having them in a north and south direction gave increases because of tectonic currents in the earth. Funny how that technology seemed to fade away, if they used it to run the telegraph and all those big coils on the telegraph, you know it had some juice.
Matt, in this configuration they would light for about 10 minutes, maybe a bit less. Now I am using the 650 Farad ultracap and it lights stuff for a really long time. In this video I was using 20 farads with the two 10 F caps together.
Exactly! Charging a cap for free. A neat property of these supercaps is that it stores up more umphs than you can out into it all at once. So, you can charge it all day, don't need lights during the day, and run it all night similar to solar. I have been told that 650 Farad is roughly 650 amps so that is plenty of umphs. (I like that word) Also, the cap will store the spikes so if I get 2 volts out but have many 2.5 volt spikes, the cap will charge to 2.5 volts eventually.
hehe why not use the caps to charge a battery? do you think the current is telluric or a coming from the earth's chemistry? I have seen batteries made from putting earth in a teelight for example... independant of ground.
To my knowledge, the ones where folks use flower pots or other container with dirt are strictly galvanic. I believe mine is possibly a combination of both to some extent. A galvanic battery should be limited to 1.5 volts. I believe this is telluric considering the frequency and the spikes that show up on a scope. I am no expert but this is what I believe is going on. You could charge a battery except they will not use the spikes efficiently.
do you have to let your supercaps charge first ? and for how long ? how long it lasts lightning the leds 40w lamp? My 2 supercaps2.5v 10F have been charging for almost a day now and they are 1.5v ...See I wonder if iam doing something wrong ,great work grounbreaking for sure!
To light the 7 ultrabright leds the supercaps charged up from 0 enough to light them in about 3 seconds. 100 leds-about 1 minute. 48" tube-3minutes. I think it all depends upon the output of the EB. Did you put your caps in parallel (with each other) and in series with the EB and your circuit? PM me if I can help.
Very nice pirate. I like where you've gone with this. I have a few questions. How big is your carb rod? Caps in parallel with Earth Battery? What mod did you make to disposible camera circuit ... i have hundreds of these lying around!
Rod is 1" OD x 18" long and I cut it in half. (9" ea.) Yes the caps are together in parallel in between the EB and the Fuji joule thief circuit. Overunitydotcom has a wealth of info on my joule thief topic on these as wellas many other types of Jt's. Josepinodotcom will give you the basics for modifying a Fuji camera board. Be careful, these circuits bite. PM me if you need any help finding any of this.
Thanks man! But, I am no one's hero. I am just putting stuff together that is already out there from some very smart folks. I have had a lot of help in learning these things and, soon, someone will replicate this and do even more. That is how it should be. But, thank you for your kind words, I do appreciate them.
Thank you Jim. This is all just stuff I have learned from our research group and all my friends on Overunitydotcom and here on Youtube. I feel like it is all coming together now. Next I am going to try a 48" tube to see what happens. Thank you.
This is great Bill.Lighting 100 Leds with a fuji takes some power if your fuji is anything like mine so that earth battery is pumping out some juice. You could put a light dependent resistor on this and automate it anyway this is looking real good. Thanks for shareing.Jonny
Thanks Jonny! it might not be able to keep up with it but it is close. The supercaps are the answer. I am uploadnig another video i just shot where I was able to light an 18" 15 watt tube. This is a lot of fun when things work.
wow! this is getting better every day! 5 stars and favorite it:) if you go camping and some one asks what kinda generator that is? and why is there no noise! just say its under there feat:) lol!
Thanks man, I appreciate that. I have a feeling I am still not generating enough mA's to keep up with the demand here. but, like a solar set-up, I can charge supercaps all day (rain or shine) and run lights all night with large enough caps. I want to try to light some tubes and then I will see how long everything runs on these 2 caps.

We all need to get together and throw a free energy party in the woods at dark. I'll bring the homebrew :-)

Sounds good to me. Check out my video I made tonight where I light 400 leds from the earth battery and a Fuji Joule Thief circuit. Thanks.

that's cool, so you are just charging a cap basically... is there any way of stepping up the 'umphs' so it will light permanently?

Thank you kindly. I made a sound reactive flash from one of these circuits, yes they bite hard.

Hello Bill,
Awsome mate, simply great success you are having there with your EB setup.
This is the way to go, the way of the future is breaking upon us.
Congrats Bill
